When she really wanted to Ilsa could speak with an American accent, though American standard took conscious effort and it was hard to keep up and upper south was easier. Still, she wasn't in the business of changing who she was among friends and Dante was used to her.
She didn't bother eying the crowd, knowing the crowd would be eying her. Instead she simply smiled and and let the dress do her work for her. "Aye, I'd heard about the community." She wasn't going to tell the other woman she lived in it if Dante didn't already know. "Ye could say I've seen it first hand."
'A dog ye say?" She cocked an eyebrow. "What type? And what'd ye call them?"
The comment about parties and cars got a knowing smile, Dante may not have come out and said it but the eyebrow pop earlier had given it away just the same.
