Stress was not usually a thing that clung to Derek, but running the shop without a manager? She barely liked math, and mostly she liked spending money, not shuffling it around to pay bills and other shit. And yet, she did, because it was the little nuance of living in places where paper money ruled, like it had any value.
She was almost distracted by it when someone interrupted her mundane thoughts, and she turned with a flare of her loose skirts to face him. Her head tilted to the side, curious, before she nodded, and extended her hand. Friends could be made anywhere, including a random dance floor. "I'd like that. I'm Derek."
