I kind of just suffer through the pain. Right now I'm not insured, so I don't know what I'll do if/when I get insurance, but I know when I was insured and went to the dentist he pressed his finger where my ear meets my jaw which caused me to scream, said I had TMJ, and told me I would have to go to the oral surgeon to see whether he would give me a mouth guard or tell me I need surgery, but I was technically "not insured" at that moment because the insurance company never received the forms stating I was enrolled in school (the dentist wanted to charge me all this money just for telling me I had TMJ stating this was an "emergency" visit, but I managed to talk them out of it).
Anyway, long story short, I just deal because there's not much else I can do, and it eventually (a week, a few days, etc) goes away.
