My "major" is Patisserie & Baking. I spent a year in community college and a year at a university, and I hated it. I tried so hard (for my parents) to do something conventional. I had really good grades, but my heart wasn't in it. I took a year off to work and do whatever and then finally convinced my parents to let me go to the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin. Best decision ever. I had to leave behind my friends and family, but it was so worth it and I couldn't be happier now.
