but in my dreams, i slew the dragon (nutini) wrote in divierto,
I have 3 essays to do over Christmas. One is a creative writing piece based on the ideas from one of the many world war two novels we've studied, plus a commentary - should be fun but difficult.
aspects of theatre: Q1. Andre Breton once said that ‘the simplest surrealist act consists in descending to the street with revolver in hand and shooting at random, as fast as one can, into the crowd.’ (The Second Manifesto of Surrealism) What does he mean and how is the surrealist aesthetic evident in Artaud’s work (artworks, radio, film, theatre writings etc)?
drama and democracy: ‘The Messenger has arrived’: how has American drama responded to AIDS?
I'm quite excited about writing that one, although the Artaud one won't be much fun. As far as I can tell, we get way fewer essays in the UK than in American universities :/
