I need some advice... Ok, let's say you lent your friend a box-set of one of your favorite tv shows ever. You have a fallout with said friend and another friend returns them back to you months later. You had bought it for more than you'd like to say, brand freakin new...and you get it back with all the corners really worn, the clear plastic holding in the dvd's cracked almost on each page, most of the discs scratched, and it's missing the nice guide that came with it. What would you do?
I mean, I am so livid I could cry. We haven't spoke in months and I don't know if it'd be okay to text her and ask what the fuck is up. I really want the guide back and I'm not sure what to tell her if she lost it. I want to tell her to just buy me a brand new set but I doubt she'd be okay with that. What the hell, man? What the hell...not cool at. all.

i am so tired, div, i've got a total of five hours of sleep the past two nights. i need some quick pick-me-ups that don't involve coffee (i lost the filters ok don't judge me), caffeinated soda (doesn't work for me), sugar (no thank you crash), or actually going to sleep since i have stuff to do soon.
on a related note, those of you who are college/high school students/work weird ass hours, how often do you pull an all-nighter?

Who here has studied out of state, or even abroad? I've always had this desire to study in NYC or somewhere in Europe, but I haven't even moved out yet, let alone lived so far away from family. Anyone have any advice on how to cope with it? Were you glad you did it?

this may be a stretch but for any of you that posted on GJ there was a girl with a quote on her journal that said something about being nice to people, it was saying like the woman that cuts you off is working two jobs and is rushing home to her kids and the scenester college student who can't make correct change is worried about finals

i just saw an anti smoking commercial that said "you don't drink every time you smoke, so why smoke every time you drink? drinking and smoking don't go together" or something like that. haha i never thought about it that way
