have any of you worked with mentally disabled/autistic children? i'm (hopefully) getting a job as a para-educator (essentially a teacher's assistant) with autistic children, and i just want to know your experiences! especially the bad ones, so i can brace myself.

For those of you with bangs, what do you do when it's windy? I feel like I always come inside looking like a rooster. I can't do that bump thing and I can't even pin it back (not to the side) like some people do.
Also, who else dislikes winter because of the clothing issue? Or maybe I'm the only one with this issue. You bundle up so you don't freeze your ass off when you're walking to where you have to go, and you get there but you're dying of heat because they have it cranked up so high. You can peel off some layers, but that's can sometimes be a lot and be a pain in the ass for when you have to go back outside again.

While we're having a discussion on laundry, does anyone hate it when people leave their shit in the dryer / washer? I want to stab the people who do it here at school. Be ready to get your goddamn laundry a minute or two before it's done so you don't keep people waiting! My mom does it at home all the fucking time but gets pissed at me when I toss her shit to the side.

Thanks for everyone who helped me with my interview post last night. Both the men interviewing me were wearing jeans and plain t-shirts so I'm sure I'm in the clear!
Tell me, div. Has anything surprising happened to you lately? My dad told me today that he found out from my grandfather and some old family documents that about five generations ago our family were in Catalonia and were practicing Judaism. It's surprising because as far as I know, the living members of my dad's family are not religious at all and my dad was baptized a Mormon (though he is atheist now). My sister is more confused and is wondering if that means we're Jewish now lol.
