Has anyone taken an extra semester to graduate or plans to?
I'm seriously considering it. Right now my gpa is kind of low because I was pretty sick for my first two years of school... also, I declared my majors late. So in order to graduate I have to take 4 more french classes and 6 more psychology classes in my senior year. Five classes a semester is definitely doable, but they're all advanced, and I know I'll be stressed out. If I stay an extra semester, I'll be able to spread out those classes and take some easy courses to raise my gpa - plus, I can study abroad next summer like I've wanted to and can finally afford. And I'd still walk with my class at graduation.
It makes a lot of sense the more I think about it, but I'm not sure if it seems like I'm taking the 'easy way out' since I can logically graduate on time. Any advice or pearls of wisdom would rock.

i think the coolest coincidence is having named my puppies after my two favorite characters in my favorite tv show and those names just happening to be the same as my favorite grandparents' middle names. i just decided to pop in the third season of roswell and my puppies michael and isabel are laying here and that just came to my mind. i think of the stupidest things this late at night!
have you guys named pets/things after favorite characters/authors/musicians? if so, share!

i'm throwing my best friend a dinner party for his 18th birthday this weekend, and i need help menu planning.
it's only something like 9 people, but two are vegetarians and one's a vegan, and i tend to overcook like crazy, so suggest everything!
the birthday boy does not like anything containing beef, a cream sauce, mushrooms, peppers or olives. i need probably 3 different main course dishes (since i usually just make a bunch and let people choose what they want), one being vegan (but it doesn't have to be like soy lentil tofu salad or anything), and containing none of the above ingredients. things that can be made into tapas-sized foods get a gold star!
he doesn't like chocolate, caramel or coffee in his desserts. what are your favorite desserts excluding those flavors?
18 here means he's legal to drink, but all our friends are either only 17 or driving home, so no alcoholic suggestions. mocktails are definitely okay though! what are your favorites?
also, what are your favorite cheesy r&b/rap/hip hop songs? i'm making a playlist! they don't need to be joke songs or anything -- just songs that make you go "why was this popular? this is awful!"

so i started on the birth control yazmin for medical reasons yesterday and had no side effects, score!! up until this morning when i woke up with my stomach kinda crampy and uncomfortable.. i'm really not sure if it's from my pill or maybe i'm just hungry haha but it doesn't feel like hunger pains:( i'm a little nauseous too.. is this normal?? i'm almost scared to take my next pill at 3 cos i don't want it to get any worse
by the way what did you guys have for lunch today?? i'm hoping to talk my mom into subway or jack in the box for a legit meal i neeeeed it

so i dropped my phone in the toilet a few days ago and it's still not working properly. i thought i had insurance on it but apparently i don't so i don't know what to do. i don't have the money to spend over 200 dollars on a phone that wasn't all that great anyway, and was hoping someone knew of a cheaper place to buy phones without a contract? :// thanks

Have any of you ever thought of going into a job because it seems like a neat job to have? But you really didn't think about it? Then when you really thought about it you realized you would probably suck at it, it wasn't practical or even possible? I've thought of going into things like marine biology, and library science... because I thought they seem like neat jobs, but then I realize I'm pretty dumb and probably couldn't do either.
So let's talk about if you could do ANYTHING (forget practicality, etc.)... what would you do?

What's something you say wayyyyy too much?
I've started saying "Jesús" (hay-zeus lol) instead of Jesus and now it's like every other word out of my mouth. and when I say it in front of people that don't know what I mean I've found that they think I've just spotted a friend of mine or something :-\ I've already gone through "lol", "rofl", and "rofl waffle" phases too.

so I start my volunteer job tomorrow at a day care and I'm working with the two year olds. However I thought of something today, My blatantly obvious tattoo on my wrist will probably spark some curiosity with kids that age and around fifteen hundred questions. However, I do not think saying (when no doubt something like "Where is he?" or whatever will be asked) "He died" (...he being my brother, that is) would be all that appropriate for this age group, mostly because I don't want to like somehow spark fear into little kids minds that their siblings may soon get sick and die as well.
so, what would you do in this situation? Cover it up all the time just to avoid such awkwardness and confusion on how to answer the questions? Don't cover it up and try by all means to avoid the blunt truth? Something else? what exactly would you say?

what are the foods you live off of (what foods do you eat most often out of convenience/plain deliciousness)? for me it's chinese food because there is chinese food EVERYWHERE and it is delicious, and grilled cheese sandwiches.
also, what internet abbreviations do you get confused by? i always read "jfc" as "just fucking chill" for some reason, and then i have to think about why that doesn't make sense in context until i realize that isn't what it means/never has been. lmao :/

To anyone that runs:
I know that some people just love to run! And I just don't freakin get it. I never have any motivation to start or to keep going.
Does this love/motivation of running eventuallllyy come to you after you do it for a while or are were you just born with the strange itch to run.
I wish I had the itch I tell you! I really do.
