my brothers ate the last oven pizza, WHICH I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO.
they didn't save me a piece.
AND they left their mess on the counter and ran off to my dad's house for the week.
food is only a big deal here because THEY EAT ALL OF IT. my mom seriously has to hide shit from them so they don't eat it all. idgi. oh, and neither of them did their chores before leaving so now i'm on dishes/litter box duty on top of my regular chores which are cleaning the kitchen & vacuuming the house (which they leave in a mess before they go because they have 0 respect for my mom), etc. they do this shit all the time, it pisses me off so bad. and no one ever disciplines them. but this week i forgot to clean the garage and ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. i don't care if they're boys, which is the excuse my mom uses for them, that doesn't mean they're incabaple of doing simple fucking tasks.

so i have a question. do you think that it's inappropriate to use religion as a topic for an essay? especially considering that the essay is meant to be analytical and this is a 4000/upper-level english course?

do you think that religion gets less believable as you become more educated?

So, I need your help, ~divierto. My best friend and I never get to do anything. That's the bottom line. She's eighteen and I'm nineteen years old. Her mom is really fucking strict (for weird reasons), and she has to call the woman when she leaves and when she goes places, even though she's in college. How many college students actually do that? Anyway, she's had her license since she was sixteen and just ..hfsjfs. But, she's allowed to go places with her boyfriend. It's just weird, and I'm starting to get really annoyed. Whenever I ask her to go somewhere, her mom is in a 'mood' (this is her common excuse. I get it so much), or she has to help watch her baby cousin. How many college students DO THAT on a saturday night?
Should I just forget about it and look for other friends? I don't know if she's lying or her mom is really THAT weird.

i highly doubt it, but has anyone in here ever been a substitute teacher before? what was your experience like?
i'm an education major, and at the end of this semester when i have 60 credit hours i can apply to be a substitute teacher. i'm thinking of doing it because it's good experience and unlike interning or volunteering i will actually be making money at the same time, but this means i'll have to take all my classes in the spring on two days (m/w or t/tr). i'm in between jobs right now and i HAVE to find a new job before the holiday's, but then in the spring i will only be able to work on weekends if i'm subbing on the other 3 weekdays. so basically i'll be a full time student taking all my classes on 2 days, trying to sub on the other 3 weekdays, and working another job on the weekends. i'm just wondering if other college students have done this before, and how they worked substitute teaching into their school schedule?

so today i witnessed something fucking infuriating. there was this little boy in the store with his mom and dad, the boy was about 7 or 8. he was helping his mom carry some yarn and the father was walking behind them saying stuff like "I'm going to tell your girlfriend that you were helping your MOM pick out YARN like a little GIRL, boys don't play with YARN. boys don't KNIT." it was fucking disgusting, ugh.

Has anyone here ever taken a class for someone, pretending to be them, or had someone do it for you?
One of my friends is begging me to let her take an art class for me next semester, since she doesn't wanna pay the $300 or whatever for it. I'm not into art, and it'd probably fufill some credits so part of me wants to let her do it. My other friend offered to take a math class for me since I suck horribly at math, and she'll be out of school next semester.
How risky do you think this is? I go to a community college with like, 30 students MAX in a class at a time. I think the only way the professor would find out is if they have our ID pictures on his/her rosters...which my friend said they sometimes do, BUT, the picture is usually small and dark and you're barely even able to make it out.
Opinions? I know it's ~wrong~ but if I could get away with NOT taking those two classes, I'd be so damn happy.
