My best friend is my best friend for a reason, but as of late, I really cannot stand the thought of her ): I don't necessarily agree with her lifestyle, mainly her sexual promiscuity (sp?), but it's not exactly life threatning. She does tend to have unprotected sex, but it's usually with the same guys, but who's to say who they sleep with? Anyway, I understand it's her life and she's entitled to live it however way she wants, but it sucks because I feel like I can't get through to her and she thinks that she's fine. I've tried talking to her about it and so have other people, but she doesn't see a problem. Am I being too judgemental or should I really be concerned? HELP!

So my ap English teacher gave us a packet of summer reading to do, and two writing assignments. one is a personal letter, and the other is about one of the stories. he says "select one literary element (other than theme) from one story, and explain how it works to support and develop a particular theme."
and to send this piece of writing and the letter to him. i don't know what he expects though, a five paragraph essay? He doesn't come right out and call it an essay or anything... I don't know how long to make it! What do you think?

dear divierto:
how many of you have your noses pierced? i'm going to the coast in like three weeks with a friend and he's getting two of his piercings opened back up as well as a tattoo and keeps telling me to get my nose pierced because we were fooling around and i put in a fake one and i actually kind of like the way it looks, but i have a very very low pain tolerance and bad experience with piercings (but that was due to an allergic reaction to a specific metal and my body rejected the metal for the second holes in my ears.) are nose rings likely to get infected a lot? does it hurt/affect it when you get sick (i get colds a lot) and have any of you had bad experiences getting them caught on things when you put the rings in? how long do they take to heal? i am terrified of needles and i hate pain so i am trying to eliminate all of the bad possibilities and bad scenarios. ps this is what i'd look like with one. yes/no??
