• Read the rules in the userinfo!
• Remember, vote on all unstamped applications before you post yours!
• If there are no unstamped applications or only one or two, please vote on some as they come in.
• Don't push for a certain vote while filling out your app! It's no fun that way.
• You will be stamped once you have three* of the same votes or after a week, whichever comes first. In the event of a tie, you will receive both stamps. *: this number will increase depending on how many people end up joining.
• When you vote on others, bold your votes!
• Stamps + application are under the cut. Under each stamp are key adjectives which I suggest everybody reads, whether you're a pokéfiend or not. (The reason I say this is because... well, take Piplup. Piplup is insanely adorable and yet its personality is something fierce.) However, keep in mind that these key words only go so far. They are meant to guide you, not to vote directly off of.
• Just in case you're wondering why Eevee is an option, it's because I wanted an even number + Eevee was Blue's starter in Pokémon Yellow.
• POKéBALL GO~

Welcome to the world of Pokémon! )

Intro! [05 Jun 2010|07:35pm]

Hello and welcome to Divie PokéStamp! This is a pokémon stamping community exclusive to the members of [info]divie, and if you join without being a member of divie, believe me, I will know and I will kick you out. Now, moving on! You may be wondering just what a stamping community is. The best way I can describe them is as a fusion between a fan community and a personality test. They all revolve around a theme - in this case, Pokémon - and you get "stamped" as a character (or something else involving the unifying theme). I will illustrate what will happen in this community to give you a better idea.

So, first you will read the rules in the community's profile, then you will go to the Starter Theme post (located here), fill out the application, and make a new post to the community with your application. (Posts are automatically friends-locked, by the way. Don't change it!) The other members will read it and vote you as the starter pokémon they feel represents you the best.

P.S. I recommend adding the community to your friends page so you will know when new themes/applications come up.

Here is an example of a stamping community on LJ, and here is an example of what happens during stamping. As you can see, members commented on the post stating which stamp they felt best represented the applicant, and then the applicant received the stamp that got the most votes.

If you're still a little lost, don't worry - you'll probably get the hang of it once people start dropping their apps. But if not, feel free to ask any questions you might have on this post. :o)
