A ting of hurt crossed her face as Lis asked about the colour. Angel was so use to people knowing the back story and knowing better than to bring it up. Now Lis was the second person to ask. The last person Wanda would have expected to ask in her own dimension. Biting her thumb nail for a moment, Wanda glanced down at the ground and then back up at Lis.
"An aftereffect of what Apocalypse did to me..." She swallowed hard and licked her lips. Angel looked away and out into the crowd of people at the bar.
"Look, there's a free booth in the corner..." Wanda smiled at Lis and made the motion of 'after you' while gently touching the other woman's back. "We better get it before someone else."
Usually Wanda preferred a table to a booth, her wings always felt awkwardly bent in a booth, but she wanted somewhere away from the majority but close enough to people to make it interesting. If this Betsy was anywhere close in personality to the one she knew, she'd have nothing less than the entire room looking at her.
