"The Capitol is a busy place. I have no doubt that you'll find a suitable job to occupy your time." With luck, Wanda would be given time to establish a career of her own making before Stane pushed her into a field himself, but only time would tell. For now, it was probably best not to speculate, although Loki did suspect that it was far more likely she would end up in weaponry rather than medical technology.
He wondered, though, what kind of leverage Stane had on her now that she had lost her brother. She didn't seem close with her the rest of her family, or even with her District, if her reasoning for staying in the Capitol was true. Loki could only hope that she had more flexibility than most Victors did.
"Oh, surely you don't expect your prep team to abandon you in your time of need?" he asked, his tone a little lighter now, though his eyes kept careful watch on the brewing situation with Stark and Thor. "You don't have to worry about your fashion sense. One of the -- ah --- perks of being a Victor is that your grooming team will follow you. Some Victors see it as a nuisance, I'm sure, but believe me, they're supremely helpful."
Loki knew this firsthand, from his own adjustment to Capitol life. He'd plied each of Thor's stylists and designers with every question he could think of, and even charmed his way into a couple of custom outfits to start off his wardrobe. But once in the Capitol, he'd had to adjust quickly to the ever-changing whims of Capitol fashion, and it had been beyond difficult to keep up. There were days that he really would have killed for a prep team of his own.
