Michael had done nothing my annoy Gabriel since he arrived with his making sense and his... emotional appeals. It was all too much for the archangel who had missed his brother for so very long and, honestly, the whole thing was unfair. Michael had always been so earnest, so honourable, loyal, stable, steady, dependable. Of course he wasn't going to just accept Gabriel's choice for Michael was also stubborn. Gabriel just knew what Michael was either going to keep at him, poking and pushing and pressing, or he would stop and maybe that was worse. Gabriel sighed.
Michael really didn't understand. Gabriel had made a promise, two actually. Gabriel was a little hurt Michael dismissed his own forays into honour at the same time he understood Michael was only interest in his first loyalty. Only Gabriel had his own answer for that Michael may not like. He didn't think Michael was going to like anything about their meeting except to see his brother again and, really, that was the real reason Gabriel agreed to meet with him. He didn't care about the politics half as much as he cared about entering Michael's presence. He sat on the ground, cross-legged, and waited for big brother to show.
