Stephen's face was not a particularly welcoming sight as he listened to Dia confess her faults. They weren't ones he found easy to forgive and, in light of what had happened, he was having trouble being even remotely sympathetic. She was, if anything, reminding him of the many reasons why they were not compatible people, a subject he'd been dwelling on for weeks.
"Alright," he said quietly, nodding at her with a frown as she finally met his eyes. Now was one of many times where he would have been immensely pleased to be a few inches taller and possibly a bit manlier-looking. He didn't say anything more; if this was her apology, he'd let her do it.
