TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS: Rosier’s Grand Opening By Gwendolyn Vane Angelus Rosier, one half of the presenting duo of WWN’s premier Quidditch morning show The Pitch, opened his Diagon Alley chocolatier's yesterday to large crowds. Rosier’s was only recently purchased, but hardly seems to suffer from the rush to completion — well-decorated, with high quality products, the shop’s opening was well-attended and publicised. The illusionist, the Great Humberto, helped to inspire shoppers to call in by performing tricks along the Alley, delighting onlookers by producing chocolate seemingly at will. The grand opening was not entirely without incident. It saw a protest against Rosier himself (a petition was circulated to demote him from co-hosting The Pitch) and some came out to demonstrate their unhappiness what they deem a capitalistic venture to seize on a greater need for chocolate after the recent Dementor attacks. At one point during the opening, an infestation of bees swarmed the shop, frightening shoppers. (The bees, Mrs Angela Vicksburg, 38, of Wimbledon, noted particularly liked the honeycomb chocolate. “Who can blame them?” she laughed.) The recently banned Celestina Warbeck song was also heard from the lamppost directly in front of the shop, startling the ghost who was aiding with the opening festivities, though the song was quickly silenced. None of this seems to have driven many from the shop. The crowd continued throughout and the shop has already demonstrated a high number of interactions through hooter and other social media sites. In response to both the initial success and criticism about the shops potential lack of charitable spirit, Rosier today announced that the shop would offer a free premium chocolate gift basket to both pureblood and non-criminal muggleborns who visited the shop before close of business. He also broached the promise of future offers for Diagon Alley’s newest addition which, in the lead up to Christmas, will surely be enjoyed by every witch and wizard. |
