He lifted his chin up off his palm and instead clasped his hands together between his long legs, hunched over but no longer looking down at her. Instead he was once again admiring the cityscape sprawled out in front of him. All of the taller buildings were off in the distance away from the school, so the view from up high was relatively unspoiled around the school.
“I’m not acting like Kanaye,” he grouched, sounding rightfully offended. There was an unspoken ‘say that again and I’ll belt you’ in his tone.
“Well if your dad’s just concerned about business, I’m sure my dad could take it off your family’s hands, and you’d be free to marry any spineless dolt to order around you wanted to.”
