Kanaye shook his head and smiled. "No worries. I've got this." He nodded, as if to show her how strong he is. "Trust me, Maeko-san. I can't let this get me down!"
Kanaye twitched at "I die" but manage to keep smiling. If anything, his smile grew when she opened the book. "Alright, I've got this!" He said and he started writing down the translation on a piece of paper. It was slow work, and it took a lot of searching for words in the dictionary, but after several minutes, he was done.
While he didn't look happy he certainly looked much better then when he saw the earlier story and passed the translation to Maeko. It read:
"There was a girl who didn't listen to her mother. She got sick and died because of it. When they buried(?) her, she wouldn't stay in the ground, her hand always reaching up. So her mother took a stick and smacked the hand. It went back into the ground."
"That's what it says. I don't know why they would bury her, though. All in all it's rather boring."
