Who: Seiko and Masami
What: Swimsuits
Where: School then who knows?
Why: Seiko is friendly.
When: After beach invite.

Seiko was walking towards the library not with a great deal of purpose, she was up to date with homework and her studies which was unusual due to the sheer workload she took upon herself.

However she noticed a familiar person walking towards her, she smiled and bounded over to the other person with a wave.

"Hey Masami-san!" she smiled. "Oh are you going to Kanaye-kun's beach thing?" she asked tilting her head.

"Oh, Yukizaki-senpai. Yeah, I was actually going to go buy myself a swimsuit right now," Masami replied. It was true; she actually didn't have a swimsuit besides the school one, and she wasn't about to go on a beach trip in a school swimsuit.

"Are you going on the trip too, senpai?"

"Yeah I am, but my swimsuits are all fairly old or just horrible, so I needed to buy a new one..." she looked thoughtful for a moment.

"Oh hey, would you like a lift? I was going to drive out at some point to get a swimsuit and if you need to go too it would be sensible to go together right?" she grinned and clasped her hands together. "It would be fun Masami-san!"

"Sounds good to me!" Masami replied with a smile, "Thanks, Yukizaki-senpai!"

"I haven't seen you around too much lately... how have you been?"

"No problem! I'm glad to be able to take my car out, as I'm staying mostly in the dorms because of the...anti-bullying club so hanging around School isn't exactly thrilling." she sighed.

"I've been trying to spend some time with my Dad he's got a few physical problems so sometimes he needs some help, and I've been studying like mad trying to get ahead."

"So should we head to the car then?" Masami asked.

"Did something happen to your dad, senpai? ...I almost never even talk to my parents, they don't usually have time for me."

"You must be a hard worker. I'm not very good in school. I mean, I guess I'm not terrible, but the school's mostly just concerned with how I do in kendo."

Seiko nodded and they walked out to the car.

"He was in a car accident a few years ago, all things considered he was lucky to get out alive and such." she smiled. "He is the nicest man there is." She said proudly."He has always been there to support me, it must be hard to not have parents to talk to Masami-san." she said thoughtfully.

"I work hard but my grades are average, and I'm nothing special in terms of sports or anything anyway, so at least the school is proud of you in one way."

"My parents are usually too busy to pay attention to me. It has its advantages sometimes, but... Well, I can handle myself. And it's good to have friends," Masami said.

"If it weren't for kendo, I wouldn't even be at Nanakamado though. My family's not rich, so I'm here on an athletic scholarship. I have to keep doing well in that, at least."

Seiko drove carefully, having just passed her test she didn't want to make a stupid mistake.

"Friends can get you through a lot of things." Seiko said with a nod, scanning for somewhere to park. "But you must be very capable to be able to look after yourself so much, its impressive."

"At least that means you have talent! Its really cool Masami-san, I'm only here because of my parents having money, so I feel a bit slow compared to the people who got in due to talent."

Seiko parked her car again being careful, it was a new car, and a good one at that, her Step Father was not one to buy anything he considered below his price range.

"I wouldn't say I'm that capable. I can handle myself well enough I guess. I'd definitely like to learn to cook better though. I'd join the cooking club, but between kendo and the Tea Club it's completely impossible for me to," Masami said.

"I wouldn't say I'm really talented in anything besides kendo. I also feel kind of slow in most of my classes, especially compared to the people who do really well like Nawanaka-san and... Sonozaki-san..." There was just a hint of apprehension in Masami's voice as she mentioned Renju.

Masami led the way to the closest shop that was selling swimsuits, and began browsing through them.

"I want to be able to cook, my Dad has tried teaching me but anything beyond the basics and its not really that great." she nodded.

"I guess we aren't all the same, everyone has their own individual talents that set us apart." she laughed. "Its a bit cheesy but it is true." She noted a slight edge of 'something' in Masami's voice when she mentioned Sonozaki-san.

Seiko followed Masami into the shop to look through the clothes and pulled a face. "Ah I have no idea what I want in a swimsuit, Kanaye-kun says anything is fine but I don't want to look silly..."

"I'm not really sure what kind of swimsuit I want either..." Masami said, "Not something frilly. Maybe something sporty?"

"What do you think, senpai?"

"Sporty would work, especially if you want to swim as well as sunbathe. But I think most things would look nice on you" Seiko said with a smile at Masami. Seiko pulled through the suits thoughtfully trying to find something a little tasteful.

"Urgh I am definitely not going to wear pink..." she said pushing several pink and 'cute' swimsuits aside.

Masami nodded and began looking through a bunch of sport bikinis.

"Pink sounds like something that would fit Aoi-san," she said as she paused her browsing for a moment in thought. "I think green would suit you pretty well, senpai. Maybe something a little bit classy?"

"Yeah pink is a bit more for girls who have a more 'cute' look." Seiko replied with a smile, she may be pretty but she was fairly sure she wasn't cute.

"Ohh green, nice call Masami-san." Seiko began hunting for something green. "And classy?...Thank you." her voice had a little less of its usual exuberance not because she disliked the comment, quite the reverse. She felt immensely flattered and decided she liked Masami a whole lot more suddenly. Not because Masami was implying she was pretty or anything, but because to Seiko ,at least, 'classy' was respectable, more mature a far cry from the person she had been the year before.

"I'm kind of nervous though, about wearing a swimsuit with all those people." Seiko admitted, "I don't want to look silly."
