Who: Maeko. Technically closed 'I'm just going to leave this here'. Unless someone WOULD be there, I guess.
What: Translating. RROD
Where: Some resturant. Probably not Kou's.
When: A few days after the thing with Maeko and Misa.
Why: Because she hasn't had a drama-free day (or even a second's rest) since she got out of her dungeon. (also giving myself an easy excuse to withdraw Maeko from anything in the future.)
Akuba Michio's translator was much younger than the client would have expected. But nobody would have known it to look at her face. She had clearly attempted to use a thick layer of makeup to cover the dark circles under her eyes but had done a poor job of it. She wasn'tfidgeting but from time to time she would sway a little and then dig her fingernails into the knuckles of the opposite hand to wake herself up. She spoke only when instructed to and absolutely politely, using masculine pronouns for herself todemonstrate that she was acting as her father's voice.
She was plain but acceptable. Nothing about her appearance was unsuitable for the formal meal and discussion of a latest project save for the large dressings on the back of each hand. But she couldn't be faulted for injury. She imitated her father's expressions as she spoke for him. When her own showed through, nothing but total exhaustion could be read from it.
She left the table to go outside every half hour or so, after speaking with her father in silence for a few seconds and excusing herself with 'Please excuse my daughter, she is unwell and needs air.'.
And then, while the client was midway though a particularly uninteresting tangent, her hands fell still, the chair shifted to one side and she crashed unceremoniously to the floor.
