Where: Their doom room.
When: After Kaz's brother showed up.
Why: Said brother is a douche.

Immediately after he gained Toru's blessing/question/whatever it was to go to the dorm room, Kanaye rushed over, ignoring everything and everyone that was in his way. Well, maybe is Maeko or Kozue showed up, he would've slowed down, but they didn't, so he ran like a mad man. I mean, a man madder then Kanaye usually was, which, really is a bit of an accomplishment. That man should be given a medal.

Either way, he reached the dorm room and opened the door loudly. "Toru-kun! I am here!" he shouted.

	Toru was where he had been when he texted Kanaye last: huddled up in a corner of his bed, looking a bit shell-shocked. Relief eased his expression a little, though it did nothing for the bruise coyly hiding behind his bangs over his left eye. "C-close the door, please..." (Reply to this) (Thread)

There was a slight twinge of should you really be letting him do that? in the back of Toru's mind when Kanaye touched his hands, but he ignored it out of shock and lack of willingness to listen to some parts of his own mind.

"I-it isn't actually all that bad... h-he tried to punch me as soon as I told him my name, but since the door was kinda closed..." He pointed to the bruise over his eye. "H-he really only grazed me. Guess I'm a little better at dodging than I thought... heh." Toru's laugh was weak and half-hearted; no humor lay beneath it. "I-if I'm hurting, it's because I fell on the floor when I tried to dodge... er... and... well, what he said... I s'pose that hurt me a lot more..."

Kanaye growled and went to the first aid kit, for the express purpose of bandaging his eye. He refused to take no for an answer. When he was finished, he nodded. "There. Now no one will think you walked into a door or something." Ignoring the fact that bandages over an eye are still rather attention-grabbing, he went back to the matter at hand.

"So what DID he say? Just never to go near Kazuya again?"

Toru didn't say anything while Kanaye bandaged the area over his eye. Weren't bandages more obvious than bruises? What was the point of even bandaging a bruise? He doubted his roommate would take no for an answer, and made a mental note to do something about it later.

"For the most part, yes. He... told me to 'get the hell away from his property,' and that he'd return if I ever came near Kazuya-kun again..." A sudden rememberance made him gulp. "W-with a knife. He said he'd use a knife next time."

	Kanaye frowned. "Property? ...That's not good. That could mean anything from "sex slave" to "waiter." Either way, I feel sorry for Kazuya-san, for once." At the mention of knives, Kanaye's eyes narrowed. "Well fuck. That's not good. What're you gonna do, Toru-kun? I know you don't want to give up on Kazuya-san, but still..." Toru didn't make eye contact. "...it could be a lot of things, but none of them are good." The phrase 'sex slave' was particularly disconcerting to him; it made Kazuya's life sound like some sort of tawdry hentai serial. Granted, there was little chance of it being true. That was something to be thankful for.

"...I don't know what I'm going to do... I need to find a way to deal with him... somehow. I-I mean... what would you do, if Maeko turned out to have an older brother who wanted to kill you for dating her?"

Somehow, Toru had not yet grown accustomed to Kanaye's habits of idle death threats. The look on his face was hardly approving. "Yeah, I... don't have the money, for one... a-and I'm pretty sure he could actually kill me. Not to mention that he knows where I live now..."

He drew his knees in closer to his body. "I don't want to fight this guy, if I can help it... I-I don't want to make you fight him, either..."

"Dammit, we're just going to keep going in a loop like this and leave Kazuya-kun out in the cold. I need to do something. Somehow."

This left him paused in thought for a long moment, apparently musing over some potential choices. "...maybe we could get some delinquents to fight him... b-but that sounds like more trouble than it's worth... o-or maybe I could move somewhere else for a while..."

Toru shook his head. "I tried to send a message to Kazuya earlier, but I haven't gotten a response yet. I-I guess I should wait until I hear back from him..."

A few more moments, and Toru was completely curled up in fetal position, not even making eye contact with Kanaye. "Dammit... I-I just want Kazuya-kun to be safe... I just want to be happy with him... it doesn't... i-it shouldn't..."

	Kanaye nodded, but said nothing. ...Well this was a problem. Kanaye really didn't know how to handle people breaking down. It was usually him that broke down. So... Kanaye hugged Toru. Something about the situation made Toru's skin prickle uncomfortably. Wasn't there something not quite right about his male best friend hugging him like this? The way he felt seemed to tell him so, at least.

"...saying things and sitting around like this isn't helpful, though..." he mumbled into Kanaye's shoulder. "I... I should be making a plan... contacting people... b-but... I can't do anything until I hear from Kazuya-kun... a-and there's always a chance that he might intercept it..." His fingers dug into the sides of his own legs. "...dammit."
