Who: Toru and Somebody
What: Inquisitions!
Where: Toru's dorm.
When: Whenever.
Why: Because people are paranoid and nasty.

It was a normal day, at a normal after-school time, on a normal week. There wasn't anything particularly note-worthy about the situation at all, and that was just how he preferred it. It had taken a lot of time to actually find out the exact dorm number and such, but it was worth it. Specifics were required for a good first impression. And so, he had chosen today to pay a visit. Just an average hello, for them to both meet and finally have the chance to exchange introductions. They were bound to meet at some point, so why not now?

By the time he was at Toru's door, he'd already mentally prepared what he had intended to say and how he would go about saying it. Things could be handled curtly and painlessly, couldn't they? At least, that's how he would have liked to think it could have gone. But, unfortunately, the world wasn't very predictable in that manner. It helped that he didn't ultimately care if things turned sour, in fact, it might have proved more amusing. Finally, the moment had arrived, and he lifted a hand to knock softly on the dorm's entryway.

The knock at the door was unexpected. Kanaye never knocked (much to Toru's chagrin; there were often times when one really ought to), and nobody else came to his dorm room for the most part. Leaving the game he had been playing paused, the otaku got up and walked over to the door.

"Hello?" He had opened it but a crack, just enough to be able to see his guest and let his guest see him.

The person beyond the door was of slightly larger than average height. He appeared to be wearing a sort of light coat over a work shirt, and a simple pair of blue jeans. Just what he was wearing for shoes weren't exactly very visible. However, the man's hair was a noticably longer length, with the color of black with an almost blue tint. As it was, it had been drawn into a somewhat neat ponytail.

However, his eyes were perhaps the most notable part of his person. His pupils themselves gave off the very essence of a razor. Sharp and violent, they seemed to bore out of his skull in an eternally dissatisfied manner. The expression on his face wasn't particularly helpful with this, as his lips had been tugged into a frown. He was, although, looking at a small sheet of paper in his right hand.

"Are you Ishinomori Toru?" The words were snapped out, without a glance into the door's direction to check if the person were still there.

Toru was slightly surprised to see someone he'd never seen before in his life standing at his door, demanding his presence. It didn't appear to be anybody from school, or anything else he could think of. Yet, the ponytailed man seemed oddly familiar, perhaps due to some cast of his face. Toru did not understand his curtness of tone, nor the almost hateful look in his eyes.

"Y-yes, that's my name. Er... who are you?"

Oh, that made things quite a bit easier! He had almost been worried that he would have to spend time actually looking for the person. But it seemed as if he had made the convenience of actually being in his dorm.

So, naturally, he acted as was appropriate. Shou placed a hand on the door, pushed it open a little more to provide appropriate space, and slammed a fist through the vent of space. He had been aiming for the kid's face, but in the darkness it was a tad difficult to tell where exactly his face was. But it didn't really matter, so much as the message was sent.

Weeks in Paradise had benefited Toru to a degree in terms of reflexes and agility. That benefit, however, was not nearly enough. Even with his startled attempt at dodging and the added benefit of a dimly-lit room, the blow still grazed his face, hard enough to become a bruise later. The dodge sent him flying backwards, and he vainly attempted to kick the door shut as he fell. However, the otaku was far too clumsy for such a maneuver. He landed painfully on his back, still facing the mysterious assailant.

"Wh-what the hell? What was that for!?"

Shou looked relatively displeased with the effect of his punch, especially in the fact that Toru had managed to dodge most of the force packed into the blow. The kid was speedy, he'd give him that, but was now on the floor. Curtly enough, Shou let himself into the room. The area looked like a warzone, from his holy perspective.

"This is the kinna shithole you're living it? Wow. And I thought you were low-class already." He almost hissed the words, looking wholely reviled with the entire place. As if it were personally insulting to him that the room was not perfectly clean.

"Though, I'll get to the point. I don't give a fuck of what you think, but I want you to get the hell away from my property. Y'got that? You step within another twenty feet of Kaz again, and I'll visit with a knife. Some little shut-in getting cut up, y'think anyone's gonna notice? Nah, and I can make it go on for a *long* time. So, I'd advise that you rethink your life and take a few steps back. Next time, there might be a body-bag waiting." The pseudo-monologue was brought to a conclusion by Shou spitting upon the prone boy.

From his position on the floor, Toru had no choice but to watch Shou enter the room, still bearing the hateful look upon his face. This was one of those times when he dearly wished Kanaye or even Tom would barge in on him, if only for the sake of rescue. No such interference was forthcoming, however. He didn't dare move, speak, or do anything to interrupt the young man's speech: there was almost an aura of malice wafting off of him. Property? he wondered, horrified. Kaz!? Who is this guy? The one who left him all beat up like that? Regardless of his assailant's identity, he was clearly in danger. This was someone with no qualms about entering a student's dorm in order to threaten and assault him. And spit on him. That was a pleasant touch.

"W-wait... b-but, how do you know Kaz? I'll... I'll stay away from him, just... please tell me why..." If he could get that information out of him, he might be able to do something about it.

Shou had been preparing to leave, thinking full well of his words. He had done a prime job! While the punch hadn't landed, the kid looked about as intimidated as it got. Maybe he'd pissed his pants? That would've been an amusing touch. However, he wasn't about to take the extra time to check. There was nothing else for him to do here, but.. Ah, the kid was blubbering something.

Shou briefly glanced back towards the prone Toru, with a brow raised. Oh, he wanted to know connections. Well, that much was only fair.

" 'm his brother, shitface. Now piss off like a good little rat and you won't have to worry about anymore surprise visits."

Brother? Kazuya had never spoken of a brother before. Granted, if this was him, there was a good reason for it. Toru simply gulped, nodded, and waited for Shou to leave before moving anywhere. As soon as he had stepped out of the door, Toru slammed it shut and locked it, before slumping down into his bed. I knew things wouldn't be easy with Kaz, but this is... more difficult than expected. This guy could actually kill me! He buried his head in his hands. What am I supposed to do? I can't just abandon Kaz like that, because his brother came and threatened me... that wouldn't be right. I'd be... that'd be hurting both of us, right? It was a few more long minutes before Toru did anything else. He could feel the bruise forming over his left eye. That promised to be fun to explain.

A few moments longer, and he pulled out his phone.
