Who: Misaki and Open
What: Selling baked goods for Cooking Club fund to second and third year.
Where: Halls of the second and Third year classes.
When: During lunch break.
Why: Because she's trying to be a good person and help others.

Misaki hummed to herself as she wandered down the hall of the second year classes. Dressed in an apron with a few frills on it over her uniform, she wandered along carrying a tray filled with various treats and lunch snacks. Some were cakes and cookies for desert, most though were stuffed bread, and small bento boxes. Each had a design inside based on the food that she had used. Some were ment for girls due to the designs, some were for guys, most were nutral though. She balanced the tray in hand and made sure that the money box around her neck didn't bounce too much.

I hope this is enough for the club. Keiichi-sempai will be happy to have some extra funding. She thought as she made her way around the halls singing, "I have lunch, lunch, sweets and cakes, sure things that your sweet heart would bake. Sandwiches, and salads, cookies and anpan, all sorts of things, even tabuyaki from a frying pan. Come see the delicious snacks, one bite and you'll want to come back. Buy one, two or three, and as always the first sample is free."

	Kanaye couldn't believe his ears or eyes. According to them, Misaki was running around the halls singing while wearing an apron. He had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. Walking up to her, he asked "Well, well, well, what's all the commotion about?" (Reply to this) (Thread)

Misaki looked up when she heard someone walking up to her. Grinning happily she turned and held up the tray to Kanaye.

"Good afternoon Satou-sempai! I'm selling lunch for the Cooking Club, it's not that expensive and it's really good. I just made it a half hour ago. First sample is free, but if you want more you're going to have to buy it." Misaki pulled out a sample for him. "Would you like to try one?"

	Kanaye chuckled and grabbed the sample. "Well, if you made, how could I resist?" Kanaye said, laughing again and popping the sample into his mouth. He chewed it thoughtfully for a second, swallowed, and made a thumbs up gesture. "Excellent, just as I expected from you. How much is the rest, anyway?" Kanaye asked while taking out his wallet. "Um...well the smaller one's are 50 yen. The larger sandwiches are 99 yen, um...." she thought a moment as if trying to remember everything. "The cake slices and cookies are 25 yen, the mini cakes are 150 yen each, and then the bento boxes are 198 yen each, three for 395 yen. It's a pretty good deal I think."

She tilted her head sweetly, "Which one would you like Satou-sempai?"

	"I'll have one of your bento boxes, then." Kanaye said, chuckling. He reaches into his wallet, takes out a 500 yen coin, presses it into Misaki hands, and smiles. "Keep the change. I don't need it." Kanaye assures her as he takes one of the boxes. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Ah...are you sure? Well thank you so much Satou-sempai. I'm glad you like the food." Misaki grinned at him and blushed. She wasn't sure what to say around Kaneya. He was well known for being a flirt and it was hard to talk around a good looking guy like him.

She thought a moment then grinned,"I was in a hurry this afternoon to make these. Oh Satou-sempai you know the captain of the Volly ball team right?"

"Oh...I see...this is bad. I promised Keiichi-sempai that I would find a way to get the teams at the school to patron the cooking club. But...I'm having the hardest time getting them to sit down and talk. Everytime I try to they keep trying to hand me their numbers and such, and when I tell them I want them to help with the cooking club, they just stare at me, smile and wink, then walk off laughing. I'm not sure if they're not taking me seriously or if I said something funny." Misaki told him and looked at Satou with puppy eyes.

"Satou-sempai, am...Do I seem funny to you? I mean...can you take me seriously?"

In fact, as the impromptu captain of the soccer team, I can assure you I will do all that I can to convince my team to patron your club." "Wow, fancy seeing you here," Kiriko commented as she approached the stand, voice dripping with sarcasm. Her lips were as pursed as if she had just been sucking lemons, but she directed her obvious disapproval of the hug she'd just witnessed at Kanaye. After flicking her eyes over him, she turned instead to Misaki, her expression softening somewhat.

"How much are the bentos, Misaki-chan? This is for the cooking club, right?"

	"Yes Kiriko-chan it is, and Satou-sempai said he's going to let the club make lunch for the soccer club when it's playing." Misaki beamed at her friend and gave her a sample. She gave a meaningful glance back to Kanaye, to the tune of 'I bet you wish she was asking you this, don't you' , before looking back to Misaki.

"What about if we go somewhere after flower arranging club? You're coming to the next meeting, right?"

She wasn't exactly sure where they would go, exactly, but a shopping outing or something probably wouldn't be too overwhelming. She mused this over as she tried the bento, and was somewhat surprised by how good it was.

"Hmm... Could I buy another bento and one of the stuffed bread? What does that come to?"

"You know, I don't think I ever asked you to call me by my first name, much less -chan anything." She didn't bother to look at him when she said it, as she was fishing money out of her purse, but her tone of voice was practically equivalent to another glare, anyway.

"Anyway, I'm not the soccer type. You'd think that would be obvious, but I guess we can't all be so perceptive."

Rapidly switching back to a friendly expression as she looked up, she handed Misaki some money.

"This should be enough, right?"

Honestly, this was probably a stupid idea, considering that Kiriko was Misaki's best friend, but she had it coming. "I apologize, Ikeda-san." he spat bitterly, putting an emphasis on the honorifc. 	"Um...that's 295, and yes this is enough." Misaki looked between the two and then smiled. "I'll make sure I make it on time Kiriko-chan for the meeting." The cold look she gave him might lead him to believe that she was going to give him a piece of her mind for his comment, but she did no such thing. Instead, her mouth twisted into a sly smirk.

"That's much better," she said, speaking of the way he addressed her. "Just remember your manners from now on."

Leaving behind the two-faced mood switching she had employed earlier, her demeanor stayed cool when she faced Misaki again.

"Thanks. I'll see you around, Misaki-chan. Text me if you find out you can't make it."

With that, she made her way back down to the first year halls to eat.

...Did the girl seriously not notice the conversation that went on under her nose? Sheesh, Kanaye knew she was idealistic, but still...
"No, no, no. She must have had to deal with Reizo again or something." Kanaye said, turning to Misaki and smiling yet again. "I should be taking her example and leaving as well, I should get back to class." As he finished, Kanaye started walking back to his class, pausing only to turn and wave slightly before moving on.

Misaki quickly moved to block him and looked down rather then looking at him. It wasn't that she was trying to be ignorant, but...she just...this was one time the mask had to come off.

"Sempai, I know that you tend to like to throw comments to the winds like that. And I might seem like I'm paying attention, or that I don't care what's said around me. But honestly I'm not as dumb as I seem. I choose to ignore a lot so that I don't have to deal with certain situations, I'd rather people just got along. But...I know I'm under you and that most people would see this as wrong, but could you please not treat Kiriko-chan like that and I would really rather you not say such mean things about her or Maeko-chan. She's not cold, it's only people that want to see her as cold that think she is, and Maeko-chan is protective of me, I know, but I need people like them around because..." she stopped dead and shook her head. She'd said enough.

Misaki looked up smiling at him and nodded, "Well I hope I can see you after school, maybe friday, we can go to the movies or something."

Kanaye blinked. What just happened there?
"Um...sure..." Kanaye was at a loss of words. He knew that Kiriko and Maeko were Misaki's best friends, and that she probably wouldn't like him making fun of them, but this is new.
"Ah...yes, I realize I was bit harsh." Understatment of the year, Kanaye thought, but he was in deep as it was, he wasn't going to make it any worse. "So, if you see them, will you tell them I apologize? I doubt they'd listen to me." Kanaye finished with a nervous smile.

"Really? Oh thank you so much Sempai! You won't regret it! I'll be a really good manager. You'll see. I'll make sure you guys have snacks for each game and help you take care of the balls and um....what ever else a manager does!" She laughed and grinned. "You don't know how thankful I really am about this."

"Oh by the way, I heard that President Retsu asked that you're going to host the Sport's day events. I'm really exicted to see your team's exhibition, are you going to enter in the basketball game too? I bet they'll win if you're on the team." Oddly enough, though some might see this as pure flattery, Misaki was being genuinely sincere.
