Who: Shiori + Anzai

When: One day and eight hours after Shiori comes back

Shiori hadn't been to Noodle Alley in a long time, which made sense due to her total absence from the city. Or, well, island. She had been on a whole different planet, it had seemed, when she lived in Toko. Technically, she should still be in Tokyo, but the city didn't agree with her as well as she wished it would have. It hadn't agreed with her at all. She had missed her home town and actually being somewhat known instead of a faceless stranger in a crowd of thousands.

Needless to say, she was kind of disappointed not only in Tokyo but herself as well. She had thought she was stronger than that!

But, evidently, she wasn't. She couldn't even resist the urge to get a bowl of noodle from Ken Doi's little joint. She'd barely been back a day and here she was, already going out to eat instead of enjoying her mother's homemade cooking. Just what kind of daughter was she?

It had been a while since Anzai went to Noodle Alley. It was more that it hadn't really occurred to him to go there at all lately, not until his sister told him he had a break and suggested he go and actually eat something. More meat especially, because having noodles for muscle probably wasn't a good thing.

Mmm, it probably hadn't been a good idea to go there then. Defied the whole point of the trip in the first place. Ah well, he'd just have to compensate by ordering something with a lot of meat~

He headed over to Ken Doi's small place. It was a nice one, he figured.

The line was surprisingly long - or maybe Ken Doi had gotten more popular? - and so Shiori found herself actually waiting to be seated instead of being able to walk right in like she used to be able to. Absently she wondered if anyone would remember her; though she used to be a frequent customer, perhaps a month would be long enough for everyone to forget about her? Or vaguely remember her, anyway?

Shiori could only hope so.

Frowning as a new person was admitted, Shiori peered around the line and saw that while there were a few empty tables, most people were dining alone and thus being placed along at the counter. The tables, it seemed, were reserved for pairs or more. Leaning back into place, she frowned and glanced at the people around her.

Too old... too creepy looking... too.. eurgh! But wait, he might work...

Two places behind her was a boy around her age, and it seemed he too was alone.

"Hey," she called, waving him over. "Wanna eat with me? We can get in faster~"
