It was natural for Toru to do a double-take at first. And then another one. And another. He walked up to his shoebox, and gingerly removed the long sheet of paper, which was already earning him stares. He proceeded to read it.
A minute or so later, he lowered the paper and rolled it up, stuffing it in his bag with far more force than necessary. He was feeling somewhere between flattered and horrified, but completely flustered by it either way. It seemed sweet and heartfelt, but at the same time, was just so painfully cheesy. There was also are very high likeliness that Toru was just being trolled. It wouldn't be the first time that somebody would pull a prank on him like this... though it would be one of the first times offline. But if it was sincere... who on earth would write such a thing? The only person who came to mind was Misaki, and she... well, she had plenty of other things to deal with in her life. And how was Toru supposed to respond?
A minute later, he grabbed the two magazines and stuck a tiny note reading "thanks" in their place. Having done this, he started to walk away, as he didn't exactly want to be associated with the whole situation.
