Who: Yoshimi, open to all girls and any particularly adventurous boys What: TEARS Where: The school bathroom When: After Misaki's speech Why: Because crying in front of her whole homeroom would feel even worse.
Just after she's finished crying all over the first four paper towels, Yoshimi stops pretending that she's not upset. She is upset. Of course she's upset. There's not a boy in the school who'd touch her, it's her fault for not fitting in right, and Aoi-san just announced it over the PA system for anyone who didn't know yet. No wonder Furakawa-senpai had been seeing someone else, someone better.
The throwaway line about becoming a famous mangaka doesn't help help; she can hardly draw stick figures. Even if she did have what it took, even if she did get famous, it would be a small consolation prize.
She sniffles, wonders how she'll be able to face the rest of the school after this, and grabs a fifth paper towel.
