Who: Misaki and anyone that can hear over the PA system. What: A random speech to inspire all. Where: Early morning at school day or so after the dungeon When: The school office Why: Because Misaki doesn't like to see people disliking one another.
"Is this thing on, hello, testing...Oh good I can hear myself. Sorry for interrupting this morning announcements, but there's a message I'd like to send out to everyone here at school. I know that right now people are scared, and to be honest I'm scared too. A lot of bad things have been happening in just the start of the school year. We've lost friends, people we cared for in a horrible way, a way that shouldn't have happened. We've also lost a dear loving Coach who really cared about his students and did what he had to to protect those of us in the school still.
Someone here wants us to be scared, they want us to be afraid and angry at one another. But don't you see, if we keep on being scared, if we keep looking at what makes us different then we'll never see the similarities. Like for example, Kanaye-sempai and Maeko-sempai. Yes they are really different, I mean a lot of people think that Satou-sempai is a air head that only likes to flirt with girls and doesn't care about his work and is apparently seen as a playboy. But he has his good side too, he cares a lot for his team and they look up to him, he can be brave even in the face of danger, oh and he can be kind to other people, just ask some of the people around. And Maeko-sempai might come off as very brusk and business like, but it's her way of making sure things are done, and yes some of the time she can be over protective, but she just wants to make sure people stay safe, and she does care a lot about those that she's friends with.
And people shouldn't judge just because of what other people say about someone. I mean there are a lot of rumors running around, and the truth is we can't tell what's true becuase they're rumors right and only second hand. The fact is we're all in this together, the whole school We can't just say that we don't like someone because of what they appear to be. Like Kozue-chan and Shirai-san. Both have reputations, but both are very different. Girls seem to be jealous of Kozue-chan because she is very pretty and she should be proud of that fact. People shouldn't just put her down because she's an attractive person. It's wrong to think like that. She's also very understanding and kind, she likes sweets and can be a lot of fun to hang out with. And Reizo-kun is...well...he's tough alright, very tough, dangerously tough, but he's also got a good side too. He looks out for people on his block, he doesn't cause that much trouble, sure he skips class some time, but he's also very smart. It's like that saying goes, you can't judge a book by it's cover."
She paused when she heard rattling outside the office door. "One moment please."
Grabbing a chair she pushed it back and sat on it holding the mic to talk so that the Dean couldn't come back in, at least not yet.
"Speaking of books, it's funny how people think they can figure out someone by what they read. I mean I read shojo and watch Korean Dramas, but that's not who I am. You can't simply identify someone by one single moment in time. It's like saying a dog is mean because it barked at you one day. Take for example Yoshimi-chan, she's a well liked girl, but a lot of boys run away from her because of what she reads. So what if it's Shonen-ai or Yaoi, that doesn't make her a bad person, she's probably one day going to be a famous Romance Manga Ka and we're all going to be bragging that we went to school with her. She's awesome in her own ways. Then there's Keiichi-kun. He's the head of the cooking club and people tend to only see him like that. But he's got a great personality and can totally handle a super-duplex wrestling move that his dad puts on him. Not to mention the fact that he's strong and cute, and I know that Kozue-chan would agree with me there.
And it's so silly to just agree with one persons opinions on a person. For the longest time now people have been seeing Kiriko-chan as an ice queen. You can't get close to her, but they're wrong! Kiriko's a good kind person, she's like a sister to me. She listens and true she can come off as distant it's just her personality, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about people. She's a kind person and everyone should wish her a big belated happy birthday if you didn't already. Talk to her and you'll get to see the very cool girl that I adore as a best friend. And speaking of friends, lets not forget Sagaki-kun. A lot of people find him to be...distant. It's like he comes from another world, and in a way he does. He seems to model himself on heroes all the time, and that can be dangerous too. It makes him seem like he's super when he's could do with people helping him. Just because he acts a bit strange doesn't mean that he's not cool, or nice, or smart. He can be all of those...He just needs peoople to show him that it's okay to not be a Super hero."
"I guess what I'm trying to say is that you should give people a chance. Even if you don't always agree with them, there's gotta be something about a person that is different and interesting enough that they can become your friend. Don't just judge someone on first impression, try to find something about someone that you can think of as unique and fun. Because if we can't get along, then someone is going to win, and there will only be more people hurt, more people that need to be helped, and we have to work as a team to do that. We have to show whoevers doing this that we won't back down, that we're going to fight them until they stop and even then we'll find out who you are and you're going to be in trouble for what you're doing. But the only way we can do that is if we learn to trust one another, to find something that we have in common. Please...all of you, just try to do your best to get along. You're only hurting people that care about you in the end."
Suddenly the door was pushed open and Misaki crashed out of the chair and hastily got up. On the speakers there was some shouting and other noises then silence and a moment later a voice came on saying.
"Thank you Miss Aoi for your rousing speech, I'm sure you can write a better one after school in detention today...now onto more important issues...the cafeteria today announced that they've run out of meat buns..."
