Who: Anyone interested in doing a little research
What: Hiroshi wants to learn more about his Persona, and invites others to do the same.
Where: Iburi's Public Library
When: The Sunday after the initial trip to Paradise, in the morning
Why: To learn what their connection is to these mysterious creatures of legend and myth...

Hiroshi pushed the door of the Iburi library open. The library should have everything he would need to research that mysterious warrior from earlier...'Arjuna', it had been called. It had looked vaguely Indian, but Hiro hadn't wanted to arouse suspicion by looking into this Arjuna at home, which is why he'd waited until his day off to head for the library to check it out there. He theorized that Arjuna must be some sort of legend, like some of the others...so maybe the library would have something on it. Him?

As much as he didn't really like the idea, he'd offered for the others who had summoned similar creatures to come with him to look for more information. They had names, and there was obviously some sort of link the students shared with those apparitions...there must be a link, they just had to discover it. That just made good sense.

"All right..." Hiro muttered half to himself, half to the others with him. "Starting online would be a good idea, then move onto any reading material the library has on...them." He decided, carefully omitting any direct references to the strange 'Personas'. "Hopefully there'll be something on them..."

Misaki had come to the library with the others as a means of understanding the strange inncident that was now haunting her dreams. She could still remember the strange creatures that had attacked them and the 'personas', as they were calling them now, that had appeared when their phone rang. What was troubling her was how they had gotten into that place. They had been locked in the gym, and Yuu-senpai had turned the handle the wrong way, then all of a sudden they were in a world of silence and shadows. It seemed like a dream, but how could they all have had it at the same time? Hotoro would have said it was a classical case of mass hypnosis. But she'd never heard of so many people seeing all those weird things before. Not to mention the fact that Toshimi-senpai had been hurt by the creatures that had attacked. That wasn's normal at all! Even if it was a dream, you could wake up from a dream, you didn't suddenly get bitten in one.

Looking over at the computers she folded her hands, "Should...Should we also look in books? Or journals, maybe someone's had something like this happen to them before? I mean...is this the first time this has ever happened at our school?"

Misaki looked up at the others rubbing her fingers together, "I just...as much as I want to know what those things are, I want to know why this happened to us. And...and what about Oubai-senpai? I mean...I...I don't want something to happen to him the same way that Sato-senpai was..." She took a breath. "it would be terrible if that happened again."

"Books? Books are nice, but they take a lot of time."
Kanaye had gone along with the group in order to figure out just why there is a blue man with a spear in his head, and what said blue man with a spear is.
"In all honesty, its better to search on the internet. The internet has EVERYTHING, Misaki-chan. EVERYTHING. And I doubt that there are many non-fiction books of mythological creatures popping out of people's head."
Kanaye paused, rubbing his sore leg. It wasn't even close to what Toshimi-chan had to deal with, but it still hurt.
"And about Oubai-kun...We will rescue him."
He took Aoi's hands and looked her in the eyes.
"I promise."

Misaki blinked some when he took her hands. Her mother had told her that the internet wasn't always the best place to look when you were looking for facts, but if they felt that was the place to start, then who was she to argue.

Blushing some when Kanaye met her eyes Misaki smiled and nodded her head, "Okay Senpai. I'll hold you to that promise."

Having invited herself along to the library as well to research with the others, Shiori giggled as she watched the theatrics between Satou-senpai and Aoi-san. She was sure he was being serious about what he said, but it was so him to seem like the hero of a shonen manga while he did it.

"With Satou-senpai on our side, we can do anything Aoi-san!" Shiori chirped, smiling brightly. "So don't worry, okay? You'll grow old before you finish high school!"

Moving over to a computer, Shiori sat down and looked over at Akiyama-senpai. He seemed to be the one heading this whole expedition, if the way he was instructing how to go about researching was any indication.

"Should we look up our own individually, Akiyama-senpai? Or should we try to figure out what they are first?" she asked, looking away so she could get a web browser up. She looked back at him, waiting for an answer.

Hiro coughed when Misaki blushed at Kanaye's touch. "Yes, well, I feel it would probably be a wise idea if we made a balance between online and literary research." He suggested. "We can use the internet as a place to start, but poking our noses, as it were, into a book, would be beneficial as well." A book with sources cited, by someone known, and respected, not an anonymous source on the internet with nothing verified. "But online will be a good place to start. We can fact-check once we have SOME information."

He turned to look at Shiori as he sat down at a computer next to her. "I myself am going to look into this 'Arjuna' person first. Once I find out more about him before I try to determine what exactly that apparition is." He pushed up his glasses. "Once I know more about what Arjuna is, determining my link to it should be easier to do." He paused. "However, if you wish to take a different route, Wakanata-san, by all means go ahead." Personally, knowing what his link to that golden-armoured warrior was more important to him right now than what it actually was. It had been so...powerful, strong, and majestic...

He pulled up a web-browser to begin his search before he spoke again. "And...if anyone needs help in their research, I can help." He added. He just hoped he had some time to look into his own research before anyone else needed help.

Kanaye chuckled at Shiori. "Glad to see you have confidence in me."
Letting going of Aoi and turning to Hiroshi, he smiled. "I like that idea, Hiroshi-kun. I'll be searching for the blue man in my head if you need me."
He turned to the computer and went to his favorite search engine, wondering if he should pull something completely unrelated up, before actually doing what he was here to do: search for magical blue men named Indra.

Misaki was a bit relived when Kanaye let go of her hand, and was happy to hear what Hiroshi had to say. She smiled at Kanaye and then at Shiori,"I'm sure Satou-senpai will do his best Wakanata-senpai to keep his promise. I guess Akiyama-senpai I'll go look in the online data base about books on Phoenixs and their history. I might look online after since I'm sure I can find more on them in the books then just online."

She giggled some, "I'll bet I'll run into lots of information on games and that Berry Trotter series."

Misaki turned to go head into the book cases, "And if anyone finds anything can you please tell me. I'm going to do my best."

She gave them all an upbeat smile before heading over to the computer data base to look up books.

From his spot at one of the computer terminals, Keiichi's own search was going decidedly well. From the name he'd remembered, it had been a simple matter to put the name "Agni" into Googelplex, and from there, he'd had hit upon hit.

Best he could tell, Agni was an Indian volcano god. That made sense, if only because of the fire the thing had spat at one of the creatures. But why the Hell would an Indian fire god he'd never heard of be in his head?

Considering it had taken him about fifteen seconds to find out what an Agni was (and in that regard, he seemed considerably luckier than the others -- he thanked whatever had put the thing in his mind that it had chosen an easy to find subject), Keiichi had time to think about other things.

Like the other boy who had taken hold of Misaki's hands.

Of course he noticed. Keiichi liked to think that he was a pretty good judge of character, particularly when it came to those who also favored the fairer sex.

"Trouble, that one," he murmured to himself. "Doesn't miss a trick."

Still, Keiichi thought the other boy's approach too bold. "One has to be careful," he whispered. "Very, very careful."

And with his mind firmly on something *other* than Shadows and red-skinned creatures, he reached into his backpack, intent on finding his copy of True Love For Total Morons.

"I'll follow your path, senpai!" Shiori said, turning her gaze down at the keyboard. She didn't use the computer that often, since it was usually her parents or brother on it, but when she did it was usually to draw on the painting program it had or to go on the school website. Needless to say, her typing skills and overall computer skills left much to be desired.

Eventually she finished typing in the search engine's url and began the slow process of typing in "terrae." Scrolling through the window slowly, Shiori tilted her heard. All that came up were pages up some sci-fi anime and Italian websites; nothing related to her persona. Nothing even close.

After reading through a couple pages of links that the search engine provided with no results, Shiori clicked on "images" - if anything, at least she could entertain herself with some pretty pictures. What she found surprised her, however. There were anime pictures, yes, but there were also a lot of pictures of... the moon?

She leaned forward slightly, clicking on one of the pictures to get to the website hosting it.

"'The lighter-colored regions of the Moon are called terrae...'" she read quietly to herself. Blinking as she read a bit more, she leaned back. Was that it? Was that supposed to mean anything? The moon wasn't a a woman - it wasn't even human. How could...

She leaned back, brow furrowed as she stared at the screen.

This was making her brain hurt.

Hiro quickly turned his attention to his own research. It did not take him long to discover what Arjuna was-a hero of Indian myth, an 'archer without peer', with connections to Krishna, the Avatar of Vishnu, the website he checked had told him. The Arjuna Persona had used a bow, and wore a golden headdress, as the Arjuna of myth was said to have done, though less ornate than the one the Persona had worn. Hiro couldn't help but swell with a little pride. Despite the fact he had never until this day known who or what Arjuna was, he shared a connection with a powerful, peerless archer of legendary skill. That made him more than just a little proud.

But there was more work to be done, Hiro realized. Now that he knew what Arjuna was, it was time for some light reading. A quick scan of the article he'd found on Arjuna told him that he factored primarily into an Indian legend called the Bhagavad Gita, a smaller part of a larger narrative called the Mahabharata.

"I'll be back. I need to check to see if the library has something." He informed the other students quietly, committing the name of the story to memory, Hiro then logged off his computer and went to see if on the off-chance the library had a copy of the Bhagavad Gita that he could check out, heading the same way Misaki had gone only moments before.

Mentally, Kanaye was dancing. He has found what he was looking for, and he liked what he found. Indra was the god of War (and Weather, whatever that has to do with it) and the king of the gods in Hinduism. Said god was very heroic (Yes!) with a brash (Yes!) and amorous (YES!) personality. He couldn't really feel better then he did know, considering he had a god in his head. Or maybe it wasn't really the god, just something very powerful with it's name. Meh, he really didn't care enough to question it.
Kanaye nodded at Hiroshi when he left, he would've done the same, but he really didn't care. There was a god in his head, and that was freaking amazing. Satisfied, he turned to the internet, all-knowing bastion of everything that it is, and started searching for what Persona were.

Misaki grinned when she found books about the colorful bird that she had floating before her. She was happy to find out that the phoenix was a bird of rebirth, that it lived for 1000 years then came back to life after being born anew from the ashes of its old self. The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being immortal and invincible — it is also said that it can heal a person with a tear from its eyes and make them temporarily immune to death. The phoenix is a symbol of fire and divinity. In China and Japan it is the second most-respected legendary creature (second to the dragon), largely used to represent the empress and females. The phoenix is the leader of birds.

Originally, the phoenix was identified by the Egyptians as a stork or heron-like bird called a benu, known from the Book of the Dead and other Egyptian texts as one of the sacred symbols of worship at Heliopolis, closely associated with the rising sun and the Egyptian sun-god Ra.

She grinned looking at the picture of the bird. It was something so warm and rare and made her giggle and smile seeing it. She liked the idea of being something that could help heal thing and people, that she could save them.

Shutting the book she walked over by the others and paused near Kaneya. "What are you looking up now Senpai?"

Maeko had been late to join everyone. Her mother had wanted a lie in and she she'd gone to interpret from her father while he want out to speak with a friend who couldn't sign. It was a pain but she didn't mind it.

Still, she finally got here and turned to hit the books. She'd looked into it on the internet already at home but a lot of what had come upappeared to be stories in english. Archaic english, too, if that wasn't bad enough. She didn't understand them. The first stop was just a general encyclopedia. With luck, it would give her information on what to look at next. "Ba- ba- ba-" She mumbled, scanning through it.

As she did she moved closer to Misaki and Kanaye, attempting to be nonchalent. Even ignoring how she felt about Kanaye, there were rumours going around about what he was like with girls and Maeko didn't want him anywhere near her Misa-chan.

"Baba Yaga." She said finally wil a smile. A smile which faded when she read the text. A hideous old mountain hag who stole and ate children...and she had said they were the same as each other?

"...what. Seriously?" She began, sighing.

"Humm, Oh Maeko-chan? You made it!" Misaki gushed happily and looked over the book that she had. Blinking she stared at the image and raised an eyebrow. Baba Yaga? she read the text and shuddered. Why would Maeko have such a...well whatever it was.

"Is that waht your...um...friend was? She looks like the lady from that movie Taken away. The one that ran the day spa." Misaki told her honestly and smiled. "You're really lucky, you have a very interesting friend."
