Who: Misaki and Keiichi (And anyone else)
What: Talking about what happened
Where: Thursday, noodle alley after the trip
When: After school
Why: To figure out what to do about others

Misaki made her way down the street of Noodle Alley, she'd only been there twice, and both times were with her neighbor when she was younger. Her nerves were slightly shot from that week and she was wondering exactly what they were going to do considering her outburst at Reizo after the meeting. She had felt a bit bad about it, and needed a way to make it up to him in some way.

Heading down the street she soon noticed Keiichi sitting at a small booth and hurried over to him, "Hello!"

"Oh, hello, Mi-chan." Keiichi was sitting down with a small bowl of spicy ramen, chopsticks stirring the noodles and broth around slowly.

He never had a clear head usually, and having a Persona didn't change that fact. Nor did the fact that right now, he had far more on his plate than he really wanted.

Such as a rather incorrigible gorilla of a first year who had Yakuza ties, that Keiichi really wished he had the physical and mental capability to put in his place. Some things, though, are beyond our position.

"How are you holding up? Hopefully better than I am."

"I'm alright Sempai, just a bit tired. Everyone's been acting weird since the trip, and I don't think it's for the better," she ordered a small bowl of noodles. "You know what's sad, that we're stuck in this situation without knowning what's really happening. We keep getting thrown into things..."

Misaki crossed her arms and rested her head on the counter. "Sometimes I just wish it would all be some sort of dream."

"I don't think anyone likes it, Mi-chan," Keiichi replied, putting his almost-finished bowl of noodles down next to him. "We don't know anything. But all we can do is go onward, to the best of our abilities. I do agree with you on something else, though. We are our own worst enemies."

Considering the group makeup, that was a minor, no, major understatement.

"This is our fault though. We should have kept a watch on everyone, even the teachers," Misaki said stirring her noodles. Ever since the trip she had not been hungry, only eating a little bit each day. Pushing around the food she thought for a moment. "Why do we have this power if we can't do the right thing with it?"

She sighed and pushed the bowl around with her finger tips, "I have to call Satou-sempai after I get something from Toru-kun tonight. He was trying to be nice to me and ask me out for my birthday. Offering me a gift to cheer me up, but the thing is, I would rather just hang out with him. Do you think he would agree to that?"

"I don't see any reason why he wouldn't." Whether Kanaye was after Shiori or not, he didn't think it was in Kanaye to turn out a meeting with a pretty girl.

With that out of the way, the more important topic of conversation could begin.

"We're not police officers, Aoi-san. Nor are we detectives or anything of that ilk. This is the fault of...Misaki, you do realize we can't even blame this on anyone? For all we know there's someone killing people in this school AND we have a disappearing problem."

Was it likely? No. Was it a possibility? Yes.

"I am not going to walk around here like Sagaki-san interrogating people. Nor am I going to let this turn me into a gorilla like Shirai-san. I wish I wasn't a beanpole, or I would settle things with him the only way he seems to understand..."

Oh, how he wished he could. So very much.

"Maybe...I don't know..." she said thoughtfully. It wasn't that she didn't like Satou, but the fact was that he seemed to like to act a certain way and she just wished that he could treat things less like a joke. She figured she would text him after eating with Keiichi.

"No, we're not officers Keiichi-sempai, but we have something that they don't. We have these...personas, and we can't just ignore the fact that unlike other people, these powers, or whatever they are, they want us to figure something out. Why screw us up the way they did? Why were we the ones locked in that gym. There's something odd with this don't you think?"

Misaki licked her lip some, "What if it's connected? Like a reciepe? We just don't know the ingredents yet. I want to know what's going on. I don't want to lose you or Maeko-chan, or Satou-sempai, or even Shirai-san to that place. It scares me....I hate it there mostly, but we can't just run away from this right?"

"And you're not a beanpole, you don't have to be like Shirai-san or Sagaki-san, just be you Keiichi-sempai. The wonderful person that I care about. Shirai-san isn't worth punching over things. He's...he's got issues too...he just doesn't see them as such." She sighed. "What exactly did happen to Aomori-sensei. I mean...if I were to look at it like I used to look at the liquids in my mom's lab, I would say that there were differnt parts of it and that the best way to figure this whole thing out is to look at how Aomori-sensei was acting different."

"The gym thing was odd, yes. But what about the others--" and here he realized he hadn't even told her yet.

"Err, there are four new persona users. You know about Sonozaki-san. I don't know if I ever mentioned the rest. Still. And what about Sagaki-senpai and Kondo-san?"

If she was paying attention, Misaki might have noticed his voice perk up at Kozue's name.

He took a deep breath, and looked his second-in-command in the eyes. "You might be right, honestly. At this point, it's looking like it IS connected, somehow, someway. But we can't just run around like detectives. The police frown on that sort of thing. We need to figure out what we can, when we can, and move forward from there. We can save people. We've saved Oubai-san and Ishinomori-san already. We can do it again, as often as we need."

Maybe a bit overconfident, but they had done reasonably well so far.

"You're going to have to ask Tommy about Aomori-sensei," Keiichi admitted. "About all I remember him telling me is that he was going to visit that female teacher a lot on the trip. I don't know if that's out of character for him or not."

Misaki noticed the intone but wasn't as thrilled about it as she was about Shiori-chan. She took a breath and nodded, "So who are the others then? I know about Kozue-chan, and Sagaki-sempai, and now Sonozaki-sempai, but who are the other's you're refering to Keiichi-sempai?"

She blinked and smeiled some when he did that. She always thought he was a strong person. Misaki paused when she heard the word female teacher and muttered, "You know before I came to school here, I...I one time caught Ishino-sensei on a date with someone outside of school. I think it might have been Aomori sensei. That would explain why he's been protective of her, wouldn't it?"

"Sakuraba-san is one of them, the school's kendo queen. There's also that really serious third year who's at the shrine all the time." He paused for a moment, trying to remember the other girl. "And one other whose name I can't remember."

Keiichi frowned. Usually, he was good with names.

"It would, yes," Keiichi replied. "But it doesn't really help us get any further in this. Not on its own. But maybe other people know something."

He leaned over to give her a hug, sighing softly as he did so. "I just want everything to be okay. And everyone. Except maybe Shirai-san, maybe he can get a sprained ankle."

Misaki nodded some, "Really? Wow, this is amazing that this is happening like this. I mean...seriously. Do you think that someone actually is giving us this? Hummm I was thinking about asking Hikaru-niikun what he thought of the idea of someone granting people power to stop something bad but..."

She blinked when he gave her a hug and she returned it snuggling to him, "I do too Sempai, and don't be silly. Shirai-san is a puppy."

"Really, Mi-chan," Keiichi replied, "I don't know how we have these powers, but all we can do is keep going forward with them."

At her proclamation of Reizo as a puppy, Keiichi frowned, shaking his head in semi-annoyance.

"Puppies don't punch people in the face," Keiichi replied, rubbing at his nose slightly.

"Puppies though DO tend to be over tough when faced with a situation they don't really understand and comensate for it." Misaki pointed out then sighed some, "I was rude to him though...I shouldn't have been. We've all been under stress."

Misaki smiled brightly, "You know I wonder something. We've had it where it's been, Two second years, a first year, and a teacher. They're all guys, which are common. Of the students, all three didn't like gym very much, then the PE teacher...at first I thought it was targeting second years, but then Toru kun got taken, then I thought it was targeting students that tended to be loners, but with Aomori sensei we have to throw that out. So the only things we can go on now is that this person is targeting guys."

"And with our luck," Keiichi replied, a hint of amusement in his voice, "next time a girl will go, and we'll be minus that too. This doesn't seem to have a whole lot in the way of patterns, honestly."

Or maybe he just wasn't looking for him. Oddly, as deadly seriously as he took Paradise, his goals seemed to be focused more on the immediate saving of people rather than the longterm figuring out of what was going on.

"Urgh don't say that Keiichi-kun, then I"m going to start watching if anyone is following me. Well it might, we're just not looking at everything are we. And it is okay to call you Keiichi-kun, or no Sempai?" Misaki stated as she moved around some of her Ramen and ate it.

She sighed some, "I want to be able to prevent it...not just stop it."

"We've been through this before," Keiichi chuckled. "Keiichi-kun, Kei-kun, it's all fine. There's no need to be so formal with me."

His laughter stopped, though, and he was serious. "From now on, I'm doing my best to keep track of everyone." Keiichi nodded. "It would be nice if we could prevent it, but right now, we still need more information. Maybe we'll get it at the meeting somehow. Who knows?"

"I really hope that we can Keiichi-kun, it would be nice to actually not let someone get hurt. I just wish I knew what the police knew about the crime scene. It would help." Misaki said as she nibbled on her noodles.

"OH by the way would you like to come over for some cake tonight? We were supposed to have a small party but kaasan has to work late, and otousan is kinda in a rush with some article he's writing. So, I thought it would be nice to have some people over even if it is small, for my birthday."

Shit! She'd never told him anything about a birthday.

"It's your birthday, Mi-chan." he asked. "Why didn't you tell me? I could have thrown you a party at club..."

He looked upset. She was his second in command and a good friend. Good friends were supposed to know things like this.

"Of course I'll come over, Mi-chan, but you should have told me. Now I feel sort of silly..."

"It's okay Keiichi-kun, I was going to mention it today, but considering what happened. I don't think anyone was in the partying mood. So I just figured it would be be better if I stayed quiet." She blushed and looked down. "But I'm glad that you would want to come. I'm going to try to make teriamasu, and if that doesn't work then I'll just make a marble cookie cake."

She smiled, "Do you think being 16 is any different then being 15?"

"You didn't have to be quiet. I imagine everyone would have liked a respite from feeling down, Mi-chan." Speaking with Misaki always made him feel like he had to give her permission to make requests or be assertive.

At her question, he couldn't help but grin. "There is a difference, yes," Keiichi admitted. Of course, the primary difference for him seemed to have been that he noticed girls a lot more now, but there were others. "Sixteen's a big year in a lot of cultures, especially American. For Spanish-speaking countries, it's fifteen. I don't know. Maybe this is just because of everything that's happened, but I feel a lot more mature at sixteen than I did at fifteen, if that helps at all."

"Um...do you think then it would be okay for me to invite them to my house for some cake?" Misaki asked Keiichi with a small smile. "They don't have to bring anything."

Taking what he said she nodded, "Yeah, I guess so. I remember kaasan saying I should grow up more. Maybe this is what she ment."

"Of course it would be okay," Keiichi replied, smiling back. "We all really like you."

It was impossible to not like Misaki, really. Unless you were Reizo or Tom.

"I don't know," he shrugged. "I think people really grow up at their own pace, don't you?"

"Okay then, I'll see if I can throw a party sometime this month. That way everyone will be happy," she smiled cheerfully.

"Really, I guess maybe I'll be growing slowly then." Misaki grinned then.

Nodding at her, Keiichi grinned. "I'm sorry to cut this short, Mi-chan, but I need to run to the store to pick up some things for the next Cooking Club meeting. I'll see you soon?"

Really, he needed to go find her a present, but he wasn't going to SAY that.

"See you at school."
