Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Tom and open
Where: Butterfly House/specifically gym
When: early in the morning
What: Tom is plotting, and planning, and contemplating on his plots
Why: What else is he gonna do?

Tom woke up early, very early. He tried to time it so it was before the others did. He didn't expect too many people to use the gym anyways, but he wanted to get in and work out before anyone else could. He could set things up in his bedroom, and try to map out the tower as best as he could remember.

Spending his time in company still felt odd. Really the whole thing felt odd. They didn't have to work for it, they didn't have to plan the place out, they didn't have to purchase any furniture. At least when they won things in Paradise they actually won them. Here everything was provided for every need was addressed and it made him equal parts frustrated and suspicious. Why would anyone create a place where they would want for nothing and ask for nothing in exchange.

Nothing about this felt right. And without the one thing that made it feel like home, he knew he'd never be comfortable.

The others seemed happy, excited even, he wouldn't begrudge them that. He didn't think that given all there was to do in the house that they wouldn't focus on planning attacks against the enemy. That was alright. They could have fun, and when the time came he would have plans ready for them.

Course they would likely ignore those plans, but he didn't entirely mind that either.

Masami also woke up fairly early. During kendo season she usually would wake up early to get a little bit of morning practice in during the quiet morning hours. It wasn't kendo season anymore, but old habits died hard. In the absence of anything else to do, she decided she might as well get some training in for the eventual fight with the angels.

To make herself some tea, she stopped by the kitchen first, where she found the hands. She shooed them away(She never had trusted them to make her tea; they had tried once, but it had been some of the worst tea she'd ever had and as a result, her hugdoll had wound up chasing them around the room brandishing its letter opener katana.) and made her tea before going to the gym.

She entered the gym to find Tom already there. "Good morning, Sagaki-senpai," she said with a bow.

Tom nodded to Masami as she entered. He stopped his work out and bowed slightly.

"Sakuraba-san." He grabbed one of his button up shirt from a spot on the floor nearby and draped it over his shoulders.

"I hadn't expected anyone else to be up this early. They've been through a lot lately."

"I'm used to waking up this early to train for kendo," Masami said, "even if I wanted to keep sleeping, my body would probably just wake up anyway."

"We've all been through a lot recently... How are you doing?"

Tom shrugged.

"I've studied rebellions and insurgencies before. I can't say this isn't a scenario I hadn't mapped out. Well... having to be on the run and bringing the government down, not... having extra-dimensional invaders in the shape of biblical entities replace the whole city and rewrite all of our memories." He walked over to grab a drink of water, examined it thoroughly before taking a sip.

"I am... bothered though... my plans my ideas... they're all scrambled. I don't know that I can be sure I remember everything."

Plus this house... it's too good to be true. It makes me uncomfortable."
