Entry tags:cafeteria, lunch, millenium city

Who:Renju and Misaki
Where: Cafeteria
When: lunchtime
What: Disscussion of ABC club and world at large
Why: Makes for an interesting moment of hummmm....

The bell let off a quick ring at the noon hour signaling that it was time for lunch. For Misaki this was a good thing, she hoped to get something a bit more filling then the bento box from the store that her mother had gotten for her. It wasn't that she didn't like the fact that her mother gave her something, at least she thought her mother had picked it out, it could have also been her assistant at the school doing the shopping again, but whatever the case dried squid, aspargus and rice just didn't seem that appatizing. So it was off to try to get some salad or fresh food that she hoped would be more ediable from the cafeteria.

She had heard horror stories from her sisters about strange rations, undercooked meats, and the smell of old food, that supposedly was served. They had said that the cafeteria was a scary place where only thugs hung out, but she was delighted to see that it was a nice calm room with bright lights and plain looking lines that lead to the food. Grabbing a tray, she waited in line behind a girl that looked familar, and blinked. She realized after a moment it was Renju from the ABC club.

"P...Pardon me, Renju-sempai, am I right?" She blushed slightly embaressed that she was even trying to talk to the older girl. She had been told it was better to stick to her year rather then making pals with anyone above her. Or if sh tried to to at least pick people that were up to par with her mother's expectations. "Good afternoon, I didn't know you came to the cafeteria to eat."

Renju half-turned, surprised that someone had actually bothered to address her; she didn't recognize the voice at first, but once she looked, the pink hair was unmistakable.

"Aoi-san." She inclined her head slightly in recognition. "That's 'Sonozaki', please. And yes, it's less expensive than buying food elsewhere." As the line moved up, so did she. The pace was a little slow, but at least steady.

"Sonozaki-san then, I'm sorry," she nodded sighing inwardly at her own social misake. She would have to work on that, and decided to try to make light conversation. There was something rather familar about Renju, it just felt nice talking to her.

"So what did you think of the meeting? I was a bit suprised that I was asked to join the Anti-bullying club. I'm not exactly the sort of person I guess that one would think of as a mentor figure. How did you get asked? And what do you make of the others there? They all seem nice," she didn't want to add that Rezio seemed an odd choice.

"I was asked by Ishino-sensei." Another step, and the line moved like clockwork. "There was no real explanation provided." That in itself was peculiar; normally teachers didn't tap students for clubs like this, and while she didn't know any but a few of the students there, they were... well, strange choices to say the least.

And yet there was that sensation of familiarity. It made her shudder and wince just remembering it, drawing a few odd looks from those around her but not much more. It was unfamiliar, inexplicable, and entirely unwelcome.

"Oh, that's...rather strange, don't you think? I mean, we all come from rather different backgrounds...." Misaki chirped happily trying to ignore the looks that Renju got from her motion. She paused and put a hand up, hovering over renju's shoulder.

"Sempai, are you okay?"
