WHO: Seiko and Yoshimi
WHY: Seiko is all broke'd

WHAT: Sharing pudding and more gossip.
WHERE: Seiko's room

[Hearing a knock on her door Seiko stood up and pulled it open revealing Yoshimi, she assumed her father had led the girl up to her room.]

Oh! Hey, come on in.

[She sounds less than chipper, and her eyes are slightly red.]

	[Yoshimi nods and steps inside, looking for a place to put her bag full of snacks.] "I brought more pudding, if you're not sick of it yet. And apples, in case you are. I wasn't really sure, so..." Oh well Kondo-san brought some yesterday, but I forgot to put it away and it went all gross,so no I'm happy to get more pudding, apples too!

[Her smile was slightly strained, but she perched herself on the edge of her bed and gestured to Yoshimi to sit somewhere.]

Uh okay I guess, I mean it is all going to take a while to heal and it hurts like a bitch, but also, I guess you heard, Tom and I broke up.

[She tried very hard to look like she didn't care, and failed rather miserably.

	"I wasn't sure what flavors you liked, so I got one of those multi-packs with like six kinds." [She pulls up a chair, if there's a chair around, while Seiko responds.] "Oh, you two...? Well I decided that it was best not to be in a relationship whilst doing this Paradise thing. Not only that, but seeing how he flipped out at Masami's shadow attacking me, as much as I like him I don't think he is mature enough right now.

[She sighs and waves her good hand.]

Though I mean, getting involved with a teammate was probably sort of a crazy idea anyway. It is all far too complicated!

[She smiles wryly.]

"That makes sense."

[She nods in agreement. Teammates are complicated. Tom, doubly so.]

"Don't feel like it was crazy, though. Sometimes things just kind of..."

[She leans back and stares up at the ceiling, sighing. It's not like she has a perfect track record when it comes to avoiding entanglements with the boys of the investigation team.]

"...you know, feel like great ideas at the time. Hindsight's 20/20 and all that."

Well Tom was involved, so it was slightly crazy from the start.

[She smiles again slightly.]

But yeah, a lot of things seem to be the right thing at the time, but then you look back at it and you did it all wrong or were just not using the right brain cells. And when it involved teammates, it is so much worse. Cause if it goes wrong you'll have to see them next time someone goes in and it is, awkwaaaard.

[She remains fixated on the ceiling, weighing her options. It's dangerous information that she's thinking of bringing to the table, in her estimation, but Seiko's always seemed pretty trustworthy, and gossip for gossip is fair game. Might as well.]

	And then you have to save them from a rampaging shadow and it gets so so awkward. [Seiko frowned, suddenly intrigued, a secret? She also felt slightly concerned, not the overbearing and motherly concern she used to have as a default, but a far more moderate and rational one. "I almost slept with Ito-senpai a while back, so I get the whole awkwardness thing."

[It's an understatement — she finds the whole mess confusing and terrifying and considers it one of her primary regrets out of a year full of regrettable actions — but she says it pretty casually, hoping that Seiko won't pick up on her distress.]

"He hasn't told Shirou or anything, so I guess I should count my blessings, but still..."

Ito?

[Seiko stares slightly in shock at Yoshimi, after all Ito-san had always seemed to her the kind of person who would be against random hookup type events. Her eyes narrowed.]

Did he... You know, start the whole thing?

[Seiko isn't very fooled by Yoshimi's casual tone, and immediately has to force herself to keep her protectiveness in check, repressing a desire to go yell at Keiichi regardless of whose idea it was.]

"Yes- well, no- well, sort of? We'd both been flirting all night, and drinking, and nobody got pressured or anything."

[This is, in Yoshimi's estimation, a pretty fair assessment, but she looks to Seiko for hints as to how it's coming off. It's not often that she opens up about much of anything while she's sober and outside of Paradise, and she's wary of saying the wrong thing.]

"We were both into it at first, and he stopped when I asked. Still, he doesn't seem much like the type, does he?"

[Seiko nods, her eyes still narrowed, she is less than impressed by Keiichi, and it shows in her expression.]

"I guess there is the fact you are younger than him though right? Plus he always seems to strive to come across all chivalrous and stuff."

[She sighs and smiles sympathetically at Yoshimi.]

"He doesn't seem the type at all seems more the type to encourage people against this kind of thing, not only that, but he dated Kozue-san, Aoi-san, then went after you..."

[A year has nothing on some of the other age gaps that she's worked with, inside and outside of relationships, but she's not about to broadcast that.]

"It's weird that he's all 'oh, fair maidens, let me protect your virtue' when it's anyone but him, for sure."

[The quote is accompanied by a terribly inaccurate (though perhaps amusingly bad) impression of Keiichi's voice. If she's going dissect his thinking, she's going to have fun with it.]

"He might just like a good time, but I'd bet it's also some male dominance thing, especially since his Shadow was like that. Trying to mark his territory or whatever. 'I, the amazing Ito-sama, have romanced over 1000 women in my lifetime', you know?"

[She spends a moment grinning (she's frustrated with Keiichi for reasons entirely outside of his control, and blowing off a little steam at his expense is fun), but guilt kicks in and she rushes to tack on an amendment.]

"—but that might be too harsh. Shadows are always like that."

[Seiko laughs at the impression, accurate or not it is still hilarious. And it is nice to be able to have a laugh. Though she nods in agreement with Yoshimi's dissection.]

"Naaah I know that type. You know, protecting maidens, so then there is more maidens for him or something."

[She shrugs and rubs her noise, she didn't seem hugely bothered about the slight bitchy tone their conversation was taking on.]

"Shadows are the true part of us, so the attitudes he had, are the real him. Soooo... I think you are right, maidens beware."

[She grabbed an apple and toyed with it.]

"Has he spoken to you about it since or like...Tried again?"

[Yoshimi nods, comforted by how knowledgeable Seiko seems on the subject. Maidens beware indeed.]

"I bailed pretty quickly after what happened at his place, and I've been avoiding him too much since then to really know what he wants. He insisted that we talk about it-"

[Her tone implies that this is the stupidest idea since the PA incident.]

"-a while ago, but he didn't try anything weird. He just seemed upset about getting the cold shoulder."

[She just shrugs and reaches for a pudding cup, apparently not feeling any guilt about this.]
