Looking for Answers
Who: Thomas and Kouchisei What: Questions, and likely the evading of answers Where: Wherever Kouchisei might be found. When: Late afternoon, Two days after everyone gathers for dinner. Why: Because Thomas is paranoid, and kinda creepy.
It had taken Thomas two days of looking, watching, and listening to figure out where the best place to find Kouchisei Oubai was. By this point, there could be no doubt that the boy would want to be laying low, He'd already been confronted by the police, and given the gossip hounds in the school, he'd likely been questioned by every other student who saw him since he re-appeared..
In the end that meant very little to Thomas. Idle curiosity of the masses would be satisfied by an answer, any answer really. And if they didn't find it suitable, they would make one up. But he didn't buy it. According to all the information he could get his hands on, scarce though it was, the Sato boy vanished for two weeks. When he reappeared he was dead, and somewhat recently Oubai disappeared as well. What tied the two together was the story circulating amongst those same gossip hounds that both boys had allegedly been seen at school during the time of the disappearence. And both had been acting strange.
There was no evidence to suggest the two incidents were connected, And again it could be one of those made up answers, but there was only one way to know for sure, and right now the only lead Thomas had to go on was this. Either he needed to confirm that the stories, as parallel as they seem, were unconnected, or Oubai was, in truth, kidnapped. And unlike Sato escaped from his captor. Which would provide Thomas with plenty of new information to go on.
And so he found himself waiting for the chance to talk to Kouchisei, alone. And he was willing to wait for as long as he needed to.
