Who: Hal and Rhea Where: Movie theaters When: Friday June 11, 2010, afternoon What: Hal and Rhea go to the movies separately and wind up sitting next to each other.
Hal didn’t go to the movies often, in fact the only time in the last three years that he had gone to the movie theaters was to see the Wolverine movie they had made the summer before. No matter what had changed with him as he got older, there was one thing he could definitely count on always being there, his love for Wolverine. Not working was really wearing down on his patience though. There weren’t many things he could do at home, he didn’t have a TV, he didn’t really care for the Internet, and there were only so many books he could read before he went stir crazy. At the suggestion of a neighbor who seemed just as disgruntled as him, he decided it was best to go to the movies and just try and keep his mind off of things. Staying at home sucked anyway with all of those stupid spirits hanging around.
There wasn’t exactly much that came out that he really wanted to see, so after a bit of debate, he bought a ticket and headed into the already dark movie theater. The previews had already started and the theater was crowded enough that as he searched for a seat he wasn’t having much luck. Finally, he found a spot in the middle of a row and shuffled his way to it, still having a seat open next to him. Well at least he had some room to himself and the theater was cool. Whether or not the movie was going to be any good was just a minor detail at this point. As far as he knew, no spirits and no parts of his past were there to make the experience anything less than enjoyable.
