Response - Prompt #2 Who: Jimmy Novak, Castiel, Jacob Glaser Novak What: Response to "Jimmy/Cas. Conversations." Word Count: 441/8000 Notes: Set it in the crazy Novak universe.
“…There’s just a lot.”
“All the more reason to stop.”
Jimmy watched as Castiel shifted uncomfortably under his gaze next to him on the bed, fingers going to the brown leather jacket and adjusting that as well. He smiled faintly as soon as the angel directed his attention back at him. “Really? I think it’s more reason to keep going.” The two had been sprawled out together as best as they could on one of the two beds in the motel room – Jimmy’s, of course, as to not make Jacob flail like a mad man.
“They’re just freckles, Jimmy. I don’t think Dean needs them counted. Nor do I.” The expression on Castiel’s face shifted into one of slight irritation, obviously a little bit of the vessel’s original owner shining through.
A huff in the corner of the room and Jimmy sat up on his elbows, looking over at Jacob who was trying his best to focus on a laptop screen. “Jake, that’s the fourth time you huffed in probably five minutes. What?”
An expression Jimmy knew all too well of an annoyed scientist at work made its way onto his twin’s face before he said, “If you two don’t quit being all cute or whatever it is you’re doing, I’m going to literally be sick. Like, I know I said Cas should get laid but um, I didn’t need to see any couple-y things.”
From the corner of his eye, Jimmy saw Castiel sit up in a manner similar to his own and tilted his head slightly. He saw a light blush appear, as well. “I don’t see why you’d get sick from it, Jacob. And your brother and I haven’t—“
“Okay! I quit.” Jacob slammed his laptop shut and a book, stuffing both into his backpack. He got to his feet and slung the bag over his shoulder as he moved to the door. “You two…can keep being adorable while I’m gone.”
The door slammed shut and as soon as it was, Jimmy flopped back. Hands went to Castiel’s jacket collar and tugged him lightly to kiss the bridge of his nose. “Now I can finish counting in peace,” he smiled warmly.
“Wouldn’t you rather discuss your brother’s reaction?” He seemed genuinely concerned about this and Jimmy would’ve said yes, but…
“Save that conversation for a rainy day, Cas, okay?” An unintentional glance of a pleading face and the angel was nodding, Jimmy proceeding to leave a peck on his lips before he lay down beside him again. Jimmy shifted to his side and started to count again. The funny thing was this time, no one complained. Not even Castiel.
