Hey! I've been writing in SG-1 for a while over at that other journal. Trying to get my feet wet here, and I just spent a tedious hour or so making this longish story navigate internally! So, I thought I would inflict it on you! Those of you who know me over there have seen this one before. Maybe not the best first post, as it is a genderbender - not everyone's thing. Ah, well. It was first alphabetically! Hoping to get more of the journal looking inward and to post as I go. A word of warning - if you get over to my place and start clicking links, you will likely get carried to LJ. Sorry. :(

I've really been getting into Harry Potter of late. These are a few communities I found that I have been enjoying:

bellatrix100 - very new, great for Bella fans
malfoy100 - Malfoy prompts
hp_prompts - All of HP and some great ficlets so far!
hpicons - great place to find and share icons
malfoycentric - lots of great stuff coming through here!


I haven't seen any Xena communities yet. If anyone runs across one, let me know.

Wonderful new community if you love to write. 50episodes I just signed up the other day. It's a prompt community and panfandom, however you don't need to write a full fic. This is for unfinished scenes and ficlets. If you are like me and stuck with lots of plot bunnies, it's a great way to get them out of your head and see what happens.

Over on my IJ, I made some icons and wallpapers for Lucius, Bella, Xena and Sean Bean, wrote a Lucius/Narcissa response to BBtPC and did several ficlets.

Speaking of bbtp_challenge, it was a huge event! Lots of people participated, and check out the results when you can. Based on the response, there is a new challenge that has been set up: ides_of_march for March 2008.

How do you all feel about claiming a pairing (or two) from your fandom of choice and doing a recs list of your favorite fan fic or art? This could be a great chance to introduce people to a new fandom -- or remind old fans of why they love this fandom.

Could be any fandom, and pairing, het, gen or slash. All pairings. Have at it! Anyone up for it?

I figured we could work it like this: Pick a pairing or two that you like, and comment. Do your rec list when you have time. When you are done, the pairing opens back up and someone else can claim if they want it next?

I can do some Jack/Daniel from SG-1, as lilithilien was curious about them.

I spoke with warinbabylon over dinner tonight, and she said she'd be happy to do some 5Doc/Tegan recs from Dr Who. That leaves lots of Dr Who pairings open.

lilithilien you wanted to do McShep and Harry/Draco to start off right? Does anybody want to do any other HP or SGA pairings?
