Now, quite a few people watch the New Who these days. To be thorough, I'll give just a bit of background here and tell you that I'm going to start by recommending three authors, not just stories, as I have yet to see anything of bad quality coming from them.

Tegan Jovanka was played by Janet Fielding, 1981-1984. She was an Australian air-hostess, short and fiesty. The Fifth Doctor was played by Peter Davison, 1981-1984. He was, and still is, the youngest actor to take the role of the Doctor in Doctor Who, Tennant included. This was 'my' TARDIS bunch and, for all intents of purpose, still is.


Now for three authors that I would recommend are:

Kalima

She consistently writes great stories with excellent characterization and great flow.

LilacFree

A wonderful author and a great person, LilacFree writes hot smut and great characterization. I highly recommend her stories.

Mouth on Legs

Not only taking Tegan's nickname, she has a bit of her spunk. Mouth on Legs is and will always be one of my favorite authors.

When I suggested to mythicdove that we put together rec lists for dimensions, I'd already started compiling mine for the Harry Potter fandom. I have to preface this by saying I'm just now exploring this fandom, and Draco/Harry was my first introduction. I've since read some other pairings, and a few are included here, but I don't feel qualified yet to rec others more extensively. So please, if anybody else wants to take on this task, please do -- I need more to read!

I also should warn you that I like long plotty stories ... no PWP here.

How do you all feel about claiming a pairing (or two) from your fandom of choice and doing a recs list of your favorite fan fic or art? This could be a great chance to introduce people to a new fandom -- or remind old fans of why they love this fandom.

Could be any fandom, and pairing, het, gen or slash. All pairings. Have at it! Anyone up for it?

I figured we could work it like this: Pick a pairing or two that you like, and comment. Do your rec list when you have time. When you are done, the pairing opens back up and someone else can claim if they want it next?

I can do some Jack/Daniel from SG-1, as lilithilien was curious about them.

I spoke with warinbabylon over dinner tonight, and she said she'd be happy to do some 5Doc/Tegan recs from Dr Who. That leaves lots of Dr Who pairings open.

lilithilien you wanted to do McShep and Harry/Draco to start off right? Does anybody want to do any other HP or SGA pairings?

Hello, all! mythicdove invited me to come play, so I present my own picspam of happiness (because that phrase made me laugh) and because this particular British actor *always* makes me happy.

Who is he? He's Hans Matheson. Or, as I like to call him, Sex on a Stick. He's an indie film actor predominantly, although he was in 'Les Mis' with Mr. Liam Neeson (yum) and 'Doctor Zhivago' with Keira Knightly and Sam Neil. He was also in 'Mists of Avalon' as Mordred, which is where I first saw him and was mesmerised by his amazing blue eyes. And everything else. What's not to love? He gets his kit off - regularly. He sings. He plays guitar, violin and harmonica. He performs in a folk-rock band with his dad. He reads poetry. (And having heard that, omg, be still my heart.) He writes. He kisses boys. He's a lad if ever there was one. He is, in short, my lust bunny, and I make no appologies for that! So here is my wee contribution to the picspams of happiness: Hans Matheson.

I just joined this asylum and I thought I'd pimp my icons out.

I've just uploaded 2500(ish) icons to my photobucket and posted them to my InsaneJournal - no that isn't a typo it really does say 2500 :D Obviously not all in one post. I have icons from quite a few fandoms as well as a lot of other things. They aren't all as great as I'd like (I've improved a lot since I started and uploading them all now I can see the first ones weren't that good).

I won't link to everything here but I will say everything is tagged so if you click on My Tags in my sidebar then you should be able to find them all pretty easily. I'll just post a few here as examples.
