Who: Lt.Col Harrison, open
What: More bad news
When: a few days after Zane evening.
Where: Military HQ, his office
Status: Open
To say that Harrison was angry was a huge understatement. It was a brave man or woman who ventured into his office that morning - unless they were a superior officer, naturally. In the meantime, those who could leave him alone did so.
They all knew what the problem was. Of course they did. Even if they hadn't been aware of Madison's sudden disappearance, Harrison's ranting about how he and McCloy had worked this between them JUST to cause him grief, would have told them all they needed to know.
Inside the office, Harrison was only mollified by the fact that there wouldn't be another Mrs. McCloy to deal with this time. But it was a small respite. He'd have to do work now, find answers, make sure all of this didn't rebound on him and make him lose face or respect.
He looked at the two files on his desk - Aidan McCloy's, and Samuel Madison's newer one. Aidan McCloy had, of course, been declared dead now, but that didn't mean the search for him had been completely called off. As for Madison - well, he could be anywhere. He'd been gone a short enough time to still have AWOL charges considered against him.
Not that that did any good unless the bastard was found, of course.
