Who: Atropine, Completely open What: Attie could use some company. When: a few days after Zane evening. Where: The house Status: Incomplete, Out there just because!
Stagnancy usually drove Atropine out of her mind- normally she could hardly go a day with out leaving the house even if it was just to walk around for a bit but for the past few days anyone trying to get her to leave the house was severely out of luck. It had only been a few days since the evening that danced a fine line between being easily one of the worst nights of Atropine's life and the most long awaited, she couldn't even really fathom or express to anyone (and she had tried) how ecstatic she was that Samuel Madison was finally and assuredly dead but it was equally hard to express how unsettling that night had been for her. She had spent most of her time wandering from bedroom to living room to kitchen and occasionally down into the surgery to visit with Icarus, Ben, or her brother should they have a spare minute or need her assistance.
The only thing that she knew for sure was that frequent showers, copious amounts of tea, literature, and cooking (code: over catering) helped ease the state she was in despite that she was eating even less than usual. Attie couldn't decide what was upsetting her the most, the fact that she was in such a funk or the fact that she was terrified to go back to her own home even though she knew Samuel was dead or the fact that he'd gotten to her so deeply. But it was normal wasn't it? After being attacked unknowingly in her own home to feel just a bit afraid? But it shouldn't have bothered her, she'd seen far worse on the job...but that was on the job, this had little to nothing to do with the job. Maybe it was all of the unanswered questions about what exactly was going on beyond her knowledged that preturbed her so much.
She found herself sitting in the kitchen flipping through a recipe book with her latest mug of tea when she saw the light on the panel by the door that indicated the surgery was no longer in use go out, and that brightened her day a considerable amount. At least that meant that she would have some company up there and tea, books, and food preparation were no match to actual company, she even hoped for Esras to make the decision to close the surgery to anything but the most severe emergencies for the weekend, this haze had to go away eventually.
