Sirius was right, of course. Remus had said before that he couldn't leave Tonks now, and it was true. This was not the time; it wouldn't be fair to her or to his son, and if nothing else, Remus knew he couldn't let down Teddy. He laughed bitterly. "There's that rationality again. Trust you to do that, Padfoot. All those years at Hogwarts I tried to make you act like an adult, and when I finally want to do the rash, immature thing, you become the voice of reason." He covered Sirius's hands. "I'm just so tired of waiting."
