Diary: Hermione


I never expected anything like this, especially not after Voldemort died. When Luna woke Ron and I and told us what she found, I just could not believe her. She's my friend but because she's Luna, I thought she was lying. Well, perhaps not lying but not entirely sane. I had to see it for my own eyes.

Ron followed us to the Great Hall and I think it's because he hoped that more people would suddenly be alive and asleep like Harry's parents. So did I, to be honest, and there were more. I'm thrilled to see Tonks and Remus alive. It would be completely heartbreaking if they were still dead with their son Teddy with their grandmother. But why just these six? So many people died last night and so many more are hurting that I cannot imagine why these six are special enough to return back from the dead.

I hope Harry doesn't take too long dressing. I don't know what to say to them. Professor Snape's looking at Luna oddly but he's staying quiet. Don't know what Sirius will do. I'm so glad Ron's here, holding me. Giving me comfort.
