Action Scene: Tonks goes out to think and finds Remus
Unable to take being at home any longer, Tonks apperated outside the gates of Hogwarts. Coming back to the site of her death was a very surreal experience, but wandering around the grounds always made it easier to think. She had been feeling off since she was resurrected. She couldn't be around Teddy, wanted to sleep all the time, feared that her husband would run to Sirius the first chance he got. 'Why would Remus want me when he's got my cousin?' she thought bitterly. She kicked a blackened tree limb out of her path and walked to the Quidditch pitch.

Remus sighed. His wife had gone missing hours ago, and Remus had given up on the possibility that she was just at the store. But she wasn't at the house either. Goddamnit.

If he were upset and wanted to escape, where would he go? The Shack, probably. But for Tonks, that probably wasn't the best answer. His second choice would probably be... of course!

Remus apparated to Hogwarts and headed for the first place he could imagine Tonks going: the Quidditch field.

Tonks sighed as she climbed the stairs to the Hufflepuff stands. So many good memories were in the yellow and black fabric covered tower, she hoped they could overshadow the recent bad ones. Running her hand along the stair railing, she smiled wistfully. She had her first kiss in the stairway with Charlie Weasley, right after Gryffindor beat Hufflepuff in their first Quidditch match of the year. She opened up the trapdoor to the stands and sat at one of the benches. It was smaller than she remembered. Off in the distance, she saw a figure running toward the pitch. Against her better judgement, she ran back down the steps to meet the figure.

When Remus saw the flash of bright hair moving toward him from the stands, he knew immediately that his instinct had been right. He breathed out, a sigh that he told himself was of relief, but truthfully may have held some apprehension as well. "Tonks. I've been looking for you... I've been worried," he said when she stood before him.

"Oh, have you?" Tonks asked frostily. She knew he was more than capable of taking care of Teddy, what was it to him if she wanted to go for a walk? "Is it so wrong to fancy a walk? I felt like I was suffocating at my Mum's!" 'And you can go back to shagging my cousin in the meantime,' she thought bitterly. When they had been resurrected, she had seen the way Remus looked at Sirius. At first, she thought it had been shock, since she felt the same thing when she saw her cousin standing there, alive and whole. But something seemed off about Remus' look - something she didn't quite trust.

Remus nodded, Tonk's icy tone barely causing him to flinch. Weeks ago, it might have startled him, but he had quickly come to realize that this Tonks was not the same cheerful, youthful neon-haired witch that he'd married. "I have. Teddy and I missed you."

Tonks frowned. Teddy missed her? She highly doubted that. "I doubt he misses me. You two seem to be getting along fine without me." The urge to run into the Forbidden Forest and lose herself was strong, but she tried to ignore it. She wanted things to work with Remus, she really did, but things just seemed so complicated.
