Gert was sure that they had all seen too much no matter which side of the wall around Xavier's they were on. The world's exterior had turned as fierce and barbed as its insider. This was no place for the soft, but she did wish it could have been a little bit different for Molly's sake.
The comments about the hats made her smirk. "I didn't catalog them or anything." Not to mention that they were safely sequestered away in boxes. Gert didn't look through them often, but she has always refused to get rid of them. She had let books go when they needed space rather than toss the hats. "Some are them are really small from what I remember. They're tiny, Christmas party Molly hats." Gert had stopped going to the Christmas parties after she came to Xavier's. "Of course you can have them back. They're yours."
As Molly spoke, Gert eased her way forward, the steps still deliberate. "I'm strangely sick of excitement. I can handle boring for a little while." Gert looked at her hands and then up at the side of Molly's face. "Would you tell me more about Jubilee?"
