Jean-Paul knew all of the words to "Under the Sea", a fact that he was happy to keep a mystery to the rest of the house, but had no qualms about repeatedly proving to his four-year-old niece who was doing exactly the same thing right next to him on the bed. Barefooted, belly full, and happy, it was easy to forget to complications and drama from the days before, shaking his rear a little against the bedspread as he followed along with the chorus of fish in the song, which he also knew by heart. He'd really seen this movie too many times.
He didn't mind though. As a personal request of the cutest thing known to man, a fact he chalked up to his own DNA somehow hopping through JM's, following a day of playing outside in the snow, flying around a bit, and then eating a big lunch, he couldn't really refuse. Ever. Sylvie knew that for the most part her Uncle JP was a comfortable fit wrapped completely around her finger when she was being a good girl. So far that day she was exploiting it to its fullest and Jean-Paul didn't mind one bit.
Family time was really the only situation he found himself in where the rest of the world completely moved off into left field. It sometimes happened with Kurt and Bobby, but never as consistently, or full-forced as it was when he was with his sister and Sylvie. Almost everything else could be pushed off and forgotten in lieu of a little quality time.
