Re: Taggles. ^_^
Gemini listened as patiently as she could, willing herself not to interrupt. She didn't need to blow up in front of Wolf. He may have been a wonderful man but he was also a point of authority, one she couldn't afford to oppose. She sat there, her arms crossed, he foot tapping silently around the tile of the floor, and her patience wearing thin. He spoke to her as if she had the brain capacity of a seven year old. When he was finished, Gemini remained still, thinking and trying to breath instead of bursting. Her voice was hard, her features seemingly carved out of stone.
"You have valid points, Wolf. I respect your opinions and I'm well aware of the fact that this isn't going to happen in a day. Even the good lord didn't finish all of his creations in a day. I'm not as immature as to think all that. But I also recognize that the sooner I get started the sooner I can do more than sit around this house and not help anyone." Gemini's last few words rose frantically in urgency and volume. She didn't want to cry in front of any of these three. She knew her pleas were ridiculous and dangerous. But if she couldn't work her magic with leather, what she good for in this hell they were all calling earth? Unable to keep the stinging from growing in her eyes, Gem spoke once more, "Sorry... enjoy breakfast... excuse me..." before turning and quickly but quietly exiting the room. She turned towards the front door- Callum's claws clicking against the hardwood as he followed her- pulled it open and let it shut behind her as tears started filling her eyes. She sat down on the steps with her dog's head in her lap and let them silently fall.
