Saint had never truly settled into Lion living, sure he liked to live comfortably and he was lucky compared to some, but there were too many people Saint didn't respect and more so didn't trust - it made for a difficult living situation. However as Saint felt the bed lighten as his lover rose from sleep he felt a warm feeling stir in his chest, a fuzzy feeling that had only been growing since he'd met Gem. He was yet to be trusted here which was odd because normally the preaching made sure he was either respected out of fear or trusted because he believed in God, but with all the shit that had happened he couldn't blame Wolf for eyeing him warily everytime he came into a room. He was just thankful he'd let him stay by Gem's side, to love her from afar and protect her from the same distance would have been difficult torture.
Saint didn't crack an eye open when Gem left the bed, though he did feel cold the instant she had set foot on the floor and left the room completely. Rolling over he watched the dog follow her and then inhaled the sweet scent she'd left on the sheets. It made him giddy and he rolled back over, sprawled on his back just like the dog when thoroughly content, well fed and sated.
Scratching a growling tummy absently he rose from the bed, pulled on a pair of loose jogging bottoms and the t-shirt he'd discarded last night, he set off down the stairs towards the kitchen following the pots and pans clashing and the light hum of his lover as she set about playing suzie homemaker. Breakfast made by the one he loved suited him fine and just watching her potter about the kitchen made him ache for what would once have been such a simple request - a wife and a mother in his future - now it seemed like that wasn't such a realistic goal. Sneaking up behind her Saint wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face in the back of her neck,
"Mmm," he moaned into her skin, "You look good pottering around the kitchen," he quipped cheekily, "Have you decided that after the hours of love making we endured you want to cook me breakfast?" he grinned with mock charm but didn't let her go to see the expression on her face.
