Gemini liked Shadow. She was straight to the point, observant, informed... She had picked up on her library comment and, evidently, put the pieces together. She obviously, however, had not been expecting Gemini's long-winded answer. Not that Gemini herself had been planning on giving it... But the serenity that Shadow exuded was like a speech laxative...
"You're right, they should be happy... but yes, I'm Libby Spencer's half-sister... the daughter of the man she despised and disowned. So i'm not completely surprised that the tension in the the house is something you could drink through a straw... Still. How do you talk about something like this? How does one go about apologizing for your parents' transgressions? I'm an honest person... I want Libby to know that her father loved her... that he mourned for her. It wasn't her that he specifically left... it was her mother... and yet that could cause Libby to blow up even more than letting her think he left her..."
Gemini turned back to her leather as an aggravating blush stole over her cheeks. She was rambling again... Such a roller coaster of emotions lately.
"Sorry... I'm rambling... that seems to be something that both Libby and I inherited from our father... So sorry..." Biting her tongue, Gemini continued to cut at the soft hide.
