Shadow had gone out with the intention of visiting the Twin Feathers. Now that it warmer it wasn't such a chore to mingle with the other friendly tribes so it was something she was making a frequent habit of. She'd visit Griffin and ask about some more complicated herbal remedies. Of course, while she was there she'd also check in on Nova, seeing how the young woman was doing. When she could she took word about the current state of her tribe and would report back to Wolf about how the Feathers, and particularly his little sister, were doing. It was incidental though and her role as any sort of messenger went conveniently unacknowledged by all parties.
The wet splat of a heavy rain drop landed in the dirt by her feet, shaking her out of her wandering thoughts. Then more rain drops on her head and arms as the spring shower quickly picked up momentum. Shadow sighed and turned up the collar of her black coat against the wet. She wasn't a big fan of the rain, and storms always seemed to strike when she happened to be outside. Once again she had the option of pushing on through the drops and arriving at her destination looking like a half-drowned kitten, or seeking shelter and waiting it out. She chose the second option.
She ducked towards the doorway of an old medical building. A strange sense of déjà vu hit her as she approached. She remembered the building as a busy and bustling clinic back in the days when she'd been a paramedic in Sundance. Now here it was abandoned and decaying. There wasn't time to dwell on memories though, becuase it turned out she wasn't the only one seeking shelter in that area. There was a young woman she didn't recognize, sitting there humming and working on something. Shadow was reasonably wary of strangers, but she offered the woman a smile nonetheless. Hostility never accomplished anything, whatever the circumstances she'd rather have a new friend than a new enemy.
"You seem much to cheerful for someone caught out in the rain," she said casually, shaking herself attempting to shed some of the drops from her hair and coat.
