Bishop didn't miss Jace's move as he shifted himself in between herself and their newest friendly foe. She'd have been more exasperated if she'd had the energy. In truth, she was sick of running and fighting. No matter how threatened she might feel, she suspected that there wasn't a whole lot that she could do anyway. That didn't mean that she wouldn't keep a watchful eye on the man who'd put them up. She took a step forward, so that she was more level with Jace, and put a hand on the small of his back. It was a simple reminder that she was still there, and if he tried to do anything stupid, she'd be the first to stop him.
"Bishop." Wolf. The name suited him. He looked kind of fierce, even when he was by all appearances completely at ease in his own home. Certainly he didn't look like the sort taht she would want to cross, no matter how healthy she was feeling. Which was probably one of the reasons he lead such a strong tribe. They wouldn't have put a sissy in charge.
At the mention of a kitchen and food, she exchanged a startled glance with Jace. This was too weird. The furniture was one thing, but he fact that people still ate semi-regular meals in a room that was made for that kind of thing was just bizarre. Of course, no one that had been living a cushy tribal life would think so, but she'd been eating whatever she could get her hands on, whenever she could get it, for the last two years. The fact that not everybody had that kind of problem was going to take some getting used to.
She followed him silently, all the while keeping contact with Jace. He was the only constant in this strange new world that they'd been tossed in to. Once they'd stepped into the kitchen, Bishop took another look around. Everything was clean, and while some of the stuff might have been a little rundown, it wasn't outright falling apart. The people of Sundance were doing a whole hell of a lot beter than a lot of places in the world. She wondered if they realized just how fortunate they were.
The mention of eggs, however, distracted her from whatever deep thoughts she might have had. Most of the places she'd been through had slaughtered all of their animals early, not thinking in the long term about things like milk and eggs. She stared at Wolf in disbelief, while her stomach rumbled in anticipation. They not only had tasty food, but they had enough of it that they were willing to share with strangers. "You people have eggs?" That sounded less polite than she'd meant for it to. Biting the inside of her lip, she gave a stiff smile. "Er...that's a surprise, but sure."
