In all honesty, Ruby knew that some of the male members of the Feathers liked to look at her. She wasn't totally oblivious. More like she knew that boys would be boys. There wasn't a thing to be done to change that and there likely never would be one. Before the outbreak of the virus, she would have lavished in the attention and would have tried to draw more attention to herself. Self-centered was the only term for it, But now she was a bit more down to earth. Yeah, it was nice to be looked at by guys in an admiring way, but she didn't put herself out there for that sort of attention like she had in the past. So, she just coasted on by, giving that trademark warm smile. It wasn't to tease or anything. It was just her being who she was. Maybe it was the sweet 'Girl Next Door' aesthetic? Either way, she just went with it.
The gentle breeze that had been blowing played in long dirty blonde locks as she walked and the sun's rays gave her skin a charming sun-kissed glow. No wonder so many guys had thought she was the perfect girl back in high school. She was pretty, to be sure, but she wasn't one to brag about it. At least not now. But that was beside the point. Now, Ruby's concentration was on the lovely day. It caused her to walk slower and not pay too much attention to some of the other things, such as the fact that Hawk had been lying in the grass and looking at her.
She continued in her slightly slower stride as she left the gardens. It wasn't hard to notice the lack of people passing her by now. What she wasn't expecting was to see Hawk come right up next to her. It startled her a little bit, but she played it off with a slight chuckle. "Yeah, it is. I wish every day could be like today." She smiled, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear.
